So dont really prefer hard plastic but is there a tpu case available which also covers the joycons?

What the fudge is a TPU Case?

google said:
A hybrid material - a mixture between hard plastic and soft silicone. A very dense and smooth rubber, made to slide in and out of the pocket, without attracting lint. The primary material used to manufacture cellhelmet cases.

oh... weird name

Maybe something like this:

Though a lot on ebay claiming TPU seem more like silicon...

I use TPU on my phones.

On my Switch I have a full hard clear plastic case which suck its too thick for the joy-cons it makes it a bit harder to press buttons, but I bought silicon covers just for the joy-cons as the console doesn't matter me much being plastic.

Though I will probably order something like the link above later...

I got this one last week. It consists of three pieces which cover the console and the joy-cons. It is flexible yet quite sturdy (like the Hori Dura-flexi for N3DS.)
Note that one has to remove the cover to insert the console into the dock, but I mostly use it as a handheld.

Not sure if this is TPU Gel edit: it is, but it is a soft case and I love it. The extra grip makes it very comfortable to hold, and the pouch it comes with fits the case perfectly along with a lot of storage space for accessories and up to 10 games. It also fits in the dock with the case on (assuming your dock is not very bent)
It does not cover the front of the JoyCons however. But trust me when I say that that's not something you would want since it makes getting the JoyCons on and off a pain in the ass when you want to play tabletop/docked and most cases you will find also won't fit in the dock so you'll have a hell of a time getting the case off any time you want to play docked even if you're using a Pro Controller.
