Ok. Why did you present yourself as someone I could ask for help if you have not intention to do it? I obviously can't fix it for myself.
Oh, so you're too lazy to even try to fix it yourself, but you expect others to just do all the work for you?

What are you even talking about? lol
Nobody else is gonna patch everything to work without an SD card just because your Switch is broken. If you want to do that, then I can help if you have any questions.

I didn't expect that. I just asked a question and clearly stated that I can't do it myself. I only asked you because after that you told me that you're the right person to ask. I seriously don't understand what you expect from me. Just to be clear, at this point I don't ask you or any other person to help me. I already got my answer. I don't care about fighting for fightings sake. There is literally no reason to be rude to anyone in this thread. So have a nice day, I'll just wait for that part to arrive.

I have a Switch without a working sd card reader. I've ordered a new one but it wont arrive before August. Is there any way to access the nand like a sd or something? Maybe in rcm?

edit
There seems to be quite a bit of confusion about whats exactly broken. It's the part inside the switch, not the sd card nor a reader for my pc.
Why don't you send it in to Nintendo?

Because I broke the reader myself. Had to replace a joycon rail. While putting the Switch back together I must have put too much pressure on the readers ribbon connector. The pins broke off and now I have to wait until the new ones arrives. Thing is tho that I don't know if the connector on the mainboard is broken too. That was the main reason for asking if I could start homebrew from the nand.

I see. Well, if the connector on the board looks okay (pins are intact) and the flap is still working I'd say it's probably fine. Though depending on the connector the pins might be hidden inside. The type with the flap facing the ribbon cable typically have the pins visible but the kind with the flap on the opposite side where you have to push the cable all the way in don't.
Hopefully it's not broken or you'll probably need a new mainboard.

The connector on the board looks okay. This one is without a flap. It's one of the small conecctors where you just push down. It's a bit hard to see but I'll include a pic of it.The part marked in red is the part that broke off.

Ah yes, that kind. It's probably more robust than the ones with a flap since that tends to be the weak point. The pins are small and probably fragile though. But if it looks fine it's probably fine. Should be fairly easy to tell if something is broken with that kind of connector.
If it's well designed, then it should be designed so that the cheap part (the cable) is the first thing to fail.

I had the same issue. After soldering back properly the sd card doesn't work still. Looks like something wrong with motherboard
