I'm running firmware 1.0.0, successfully loaded xecuter OS and everything is good to go except split xci files.

I have a samsung 256gb micro sd formatted to FAT32, and I'm using all BBB proper releases. I am using xci cutter found here https://gbatemp.net/threads/xci-cutter-tool-windows.504818/ to cut the larger games. All the games show up in the xecuter gallery, but when I select a game that has been split, xecuter brings me to the switch homescreen but the game I selected in the gallery doesn't show up. All the backups are in the root directory of my micro sd, and all split files are .xc0, .xc1, .xc2 etc...

So, going off this thread https://gbatemp.net/threads/list-games-required-firmware-version.485959/ I have gotten the following results from the games I have tried:

Working (all single .xci files):
1-2 Switch
Arms
Cave Story+
Puyo Puyo Tetris
Retro City Rampage DX
The Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+

Not Working:
Disgaea 5 Complete (split file)
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (split file)
Zelda BOTW (split file)
Rayman Legends (says it needs an update to play, might be a mistake that this game is on the 2.3 or lower firmware list)

Anyone have an idea what I'm doing wrong?

I think files split with that program isnt working.. I had the same issue before, I think the naming is wrong? When I dump my own games using the fat32 split function, they are all xci files. but splitting with that tool makes it xc0,xc1 etc..

I fixed it by installing the exfat driver and using the original files, probably not what you want to do on 1.0.0

I can't test it yet since I don't have the OS, but try looking if the tool version is the most recent (from 8 days ago, V. 2.4.1), since there are some fixes. The most recent changelog says that file splitting was broken in previous versions, so maybe you guys are using the older version

Yea I looked in to installing exfat drivers on 1.0, but closest thing I could find is https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-...tch-console-on-any-ofw-without-update.505182/ and that only goes back to 3.0.1 as far as know. FAT 32 is being a real pain for me atm, but I'd like to keep my 1.0 since emunand is most likely coming soon.

The thing is that when I dump my own game, it gets listed as game1.xci, game2.xci. And that tool also gave me xc1,xc2 etc. Maybe you can try another split tool that does name it all xci? Not sure, just guessing. I expected they would mention how to handle larger files/splitting files with SXOS..

OMG I knew it would probably be a stupid mistake I was making. Looks like I am using the 2.4 version that has broken cutting. Just downloaded it yesterday so I'm not sure how that happened.... Thanks so much. I'll post again once I have the games cut with the updated program to confirm everything is working.

I think I did use the newest version to split the files, as I split em today when I received the OS and tested them, and they weren't working.

Let's hope it works out for you, will be interesting

Yea, actually I just download the xci cutter program from the github again. I made sure it was the 2.4.1, but it looks like its the same one I already had. Properties on the exe still shows "product version 2.4.0.0".

Yeah had exactly the same issue..This might be a stupid suggestion, but maybe try changing all the file extensions from xc1,xc2 etc to xci?

edit: My botw dump actually looks like this:

game.xci
game.xci1
game.xci2
game.xci3
game.xci4
game.xci5
game.xci6
game.xci7

Note: I haven't tried putting these on the sd and loading them with SXOS, I will try that now for you and see if it works

It seems the tool's author will contact TX to try find a solution, but as for now it looks like it won't work regardless of name changing

Isn't the first file supposed to be xci0? Mine start like that

Mine doesn't seems to start with that. Transfering the files now and testing if they load. I highly doubt it tbh

That's strange. All my splitted files first part have a zero. Here, this is disgaea 5 (I delete the original XCI after splitting)

Yes we were talking about splitting xci files using the program he mentioned: https://gbatemp.net/threads/xci-cutter-tool-windows.504818/

If I use that tool I get the same result as you, and they currently don't load.

But I dumped my own BOTW a week ago, and the structure is different, it looks like this: https://i.imgur.com/D6tOqK8.png

So I am testing if it works with the files that I dumped myself

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

So I placed my own dump files on the SD, tried loading it with SXOS, and it literally froze the whole system when I pressed A to inject the cartridge, no error or anything, so they don't load either lol

Ok will start working through my collection (roughly 42 games)in the upcoming days. And yes this means self dumped carts only, I am not looking into anything pirated by BBB and others. I just want the ease of use of digital with the combination of physical releases, and (kind sadly) this is the route I will have to take as Nintendo does not do both without having to pay for the game twice ... which in my beliefs is a bad thing really.

For now a quick recap on what I tested;
----
All single file dumps on exfat, not trimming or anything else.
Used card; Sandisk Ultra 400GB SDXC
Alls games unless otherwise stated will be the PAL region releases.

Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze; Working fine using SX OS.
Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection; On opening it results a software error notice.
Super Mario Odyssey; Working fine using SX OS.

Anyone getting "Server Response Error" when trying to input the code? Was it a bad code or something else going on?

Also, it seems like SX OS isn't saving the request file at all on my SD card. What the hell is happening?

I Think La-noire may not work as it requires an additional 12gb download (and the cart image is 16gb)

You can play L.A. Noire up to the “A marriage made in heaven” case. Then it forces you to download the additional data. I don't know If you can download this additional data like an ordinary game update (which is possible with SX OS), or if you have to download it in the eshop.

not due to that at all..
you can even launch the official cartridge without the big update, it even works with Layeredfs method. it is something else.
