not all of it is. I bought the costumes from the psn store, but I had to pirate the gamestop exclusive content. I know dlc is normally stored in the addcont folder, but if u use it with mai, it goes in the dlc folder in the app/title id folder. I have it working with the mai dump in this way.
yes i noticed this too.
i had phantasy star nova dlc, all of it was the available on the store.
i dumped my game so i could use it on my vita tv too, dumping my dlc (maidump can't/couldn't dump all the dlc at once so you had to do it a bunch at a time)
when i installed my dump to test it, all my license files for the dlc were gone!

but because in the last week or two sony locked down us connecting to psn/activating, i wouldn't be able to get my license files back from psn, which is bad.

this was like a year ago, and i had a backup of the files anyway, so it's ok in my situation.

so yeah, if that is what you did, it makes sense :)

I wonder if the mai dumped dlc licenses r located somewhere else rather than them just being gone. then, maybe it's now part of the game itself? well, as long as it works....

dumped decrypted stuff doesn't need licenses.

it's good to have the license because it means, whenever we do get real signature patches, we can get the key out of the license and make fake licenses.
this means we can then install pkg files straight from sony, have perfect compatability, updates from livearea will work.
just like what we have for ps3 :)

we can't make fake licenses on the ps3. u still need to purchase the game.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

unless you're talking about using a real license to make a rap?

yeah, just like 3ds etc, someone needs to buy the game first to get the key to decrypt the content.

(with sony, the key in the license is encrypted to your console/account, so it's not simple to get the base key needed)

and then reactpsn does it for you, or other tools you can do it manually on the computer:
to take the act.dat, idps, and rif, turn that into the rap/key, then you can share that, and on the other end people will use that key and encrypt it to their own act.dat+idps
then the real pkg from sony will install, as long as you have sig patches to let the rif we generated work.

i might be wrong on a few details because i get a bit confused with rifkey/rap/klicensee etc, but i think i have the concept ok i hope.

yeah, the algorithm was determined since we have full access to the ps3. the rap itself is just a 16 byte long key, and it only consists of the key. I think sony has complicated the way it works on the vita and probably even more so on the ps4. it might be a while, but I can wait on the vita/ps4. :P

Just to make sure, with this my vita will be activated and can use psn service(store, online, etc) just like when i activated vita normally? Or is this just an explot to make some app/homebrew that require activated vita to think the vita is activated?

EDIT: i saw the post last edited on February, will this method still work after the block that need vita to be on latest firmware to activate?

well for me it didn't work, I get E-80558325 error, when I use the dump file it always work, will I have any problem if I use it?
This method is way out of date, which is why it's not going to work.

Can I ask why, exactly, you're trying to activate your Vita? At this point, nothing requires activation unless you're 100% set on using your own games and not backups, and at that point you could just update to 3.65 Enso which will give you native access to PSN, without having to use any homebrew to attempt to activate.

I am new to the vita hacking, I have a psvita at the last version and one other psvita that left it to 3.60 and never touched it until 3 days ago, and right now I am doing a lot of outdated stuff that at the end I don't need. I mean I make bubbles without using epsp. I don't know what 3.65 enzo is and what it does, so if you can direct me to the right direction it will really help me.

Henkaku Enso is a cold boot hack originally released for 3.60 ~a year ago, and basically allows you to keep Henkaku activated even after you reboot the Vita (so no more having to install the hack from the browser, or the email when you turn it on and off). You can follow this guide to install Enso on 3.60: http://vita.cfw.guide/guide/installing-henkaku-enso/

Henkaku Enso for 3.65 is a newer release, which allows you to update your 3.60 Vita to a newer firmware, 3.65, while keeping Henkaku Enso in tact. Note that you have to be on 3.60 to install this hack. This allows you to play newer Vita games (without using Maidump workarounds, which are bad game dumps), and currently allows you to access PSN so you can access your legitimate games. You can follow this guide for more info on that: http://vita.cfw.guide/more/updating-to-henkaku-enso-3.65/ Do note that updating is irreversible, so if you follow this guide and then want to go back to 3.60 for any reason, you can't do it.

It should also be noted that The Flow (the hacker beyond 3.65 Enso) has new kernel exploits for 3.65+ firmwares as well, that will be released in September, meaning you'll be able to hack your Vita with the latest firmware once they release. There are basically two main versions of the "hacks", one for 3.65 which allows you to install Henkaku Enso without having to be on 3.60, and one for 3.67 and 3.68 which only allows you to install the normal Henkaku (meaning you'll have to re-run the installer for every reboot).

I have enzo 3.60, but is there anything I will miss in enzo 3.65? psx games? psp games? game bubbles that I can create? any compability loss?

Some older plugins may not support 3.65, but nearly all the useful ones do. Henkaku Enso on 3.65 works exactly the same as Enso on 3.60, so there are no issues with homebrew and games and such. The only real difference is you can't reinstall the hack on 3.65 if, for whatever reason, you somehow manage to uninstall it (which is only possible by user error).

ok.. I hope I will get it right. I will look for a video to be sure, but I really don't want to mess up. I 'm reliving my psp days and I am excited and nervous at the same time
