there's another way. u need to set npdrm to 0 iirc by using the registry. u also need the psn bypass suprx. place it wherever and link that location with ur tai configuration file. then, open the registry app, change the number to 0 iirc. get out of that. then, try to activate the system. btw, u need to refresh tai by going into molecular shell, pressing start, then clicking refresh. I have a tutorial on this on another site, but my mind is sorta hazy.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

btw, bypassing it in this way will glitch the system if u use easy installer for adrenaline. the reason is that the plugin is no longer being read since easy installer recreates the tai configuration file. it's a bug I believe. it only glitches out if u try to access psn to activate the game and ur system still has npdrm set to 0. it's safe.

Ok, so ive been super stuck on this for a while now. I followed this and a similar tutorial to a T, and yet my vita evades its activation. When I do this tutorial and I am asked about the update (while in system settings) I select cancel as instructed, but then i am sent back to the home menu. If I try to reenter the application I am met with a page (probably ebub2.2) with a text box that links me back to system settings. Ive already tried this tutorial and others about 5 times now. Has anyone else met with the same fate?
Go to system settings directly via epsp installer

Yea, thats what I meant. Im accessing the settings menu through the easy installer, and yet its returning me to my Ps vita home page when I deny the update. (Sorry for the lack of clarification).

Hi is this still working?

I have a recently formatted 3.60 firmware, logged in with a new PS Network account, installed henkaku (with spoofing) got the bubble app to install after putting the act.dat file, deleted it, rebooted, but I still got an app activation error. I then removing spoofing, but I then get logged out of my account with a connection has been terminated. (NW-2293-6) HELP!

I've heard that sony is deactivating vitas on henkaku for signing in, so that may be your problem. back up the activation files or this could happen.

yeah, there's a list of files for activation on wololo: act.dat - tm0:npdrm/act.dat , and the system.dreg and system.ireg - vd0:registry/system.dreg vd0:registry/system.ireg. there r more than that though.

I'm assuming the tutorial on wololo was written due to this deactivation thing happening. I heard elsewhere that it was from signing in.

Yeah, I did a reset in safe mode, and I can't even get past the initial sign in that's part of setup :/

UGH

Thank you so much. Have got it to work. All I did was return amphetamine and game.txt back into the plugins folder so easy installer ran without error. I uninstalled adrenaline, rebooted and reinstalled it and it worked fine. Thank so much for your help and prompt replies.
Amphetamin? Really? Use oclockvita

I am on ENSO. I just managed to login to PS Network after being blocked yesterday. I have the 212.47.229.76 manual DNS (to start with). I formatted the memory card yesterday (and did a system restore from safe mode)

Step 1
Create this folder tm0\npdrm using vita shell 1.51 - DONE

Step 2
Use this dummy act.dat file, unrar and extract the dummy file. - DONE
http://www.mediafire.com/?e66w9c953abugq2

Step 3
Put the dummy file in tm0\npdrm - DONE

Step 4
Launch epsp 2.0, press x to create the game bubble. - DONE

Step 5
After your vita restarts, it should install the bubble, after that, go back to the tm0\npdrm folder and delete the dummy act.dat. - DONE- IT DID INSTALL BUBBLE

Step 6
Relaunch epsp 2.0, press x after it tells you to activate your vita.(this step is usually where a lot of people got looped on) - IT REBOOTED, BUT WHEN I WENT IN AGAIN I WAS ABLE TO LAUNCH SETTINGS UPON REBOOT

Step 7
Relaunch epsp 2.0, this time it should tell you to activate your vita in the settings menu, press x and it'll then brings you directly to the settings. - DONE

Step 8
Once in the settings, go to psn and it will tell you to update, just hit cancel and it'll bring you back to the psn menu. - DONE

Step 9
Go to activate system, choose game, and then activate.- DONE

Step 10
Your vita is now activated.- NO I GET ERROR 80558325

I the repeated above steps after setting DNS to automatic (and rebooting).

HELP!!!!

Yeah, this no longer works. At present, there is no way to activate a Vita on 3.60. This thread should be locked to keep people from wasting their time.

it's a shame, we wouldn't need to activate if we had real sig patches, because we could just installed a (pirated/backup) psp game and have it working - and install adrenaline to that.
good that theflow will make it not need to be activated, but still, it's nice to be able to use backups of our own content.
and maidump/vitamin are not perfect!

it's probably a good idea to keep backups of the activation files. here's the list (credits to Berion at psx place). don't worry if not all are present on your system:

vd0:/registry/system.dreg
vd0:/registry/system.ireg

tm0:/npdrm/act.dat
tm0:/psmdrm/act.dat
tm0:/clouddata/mcid.dat

ux0:/id.dat

ux0:/license/app/*
ux0:/pspemu/PSP/LICENSE/*

ur0:/user/00/shell/db/act.db
ur0:/user/00/np/myprofile.dat

just get the whole license folder :) if you just get app you will miss out on your themes and dlc!

I actually don't have any licenses in the app folder. however, I do have most of the dlc for tales of hearts. I'm not sure where that license is located or if it even has one.

it will be in a folder call addcont (something like that) in license.
i have three folders in my license folder: app, themes, and addcont

it's not in there. I just checked. the dlc still works too.
is it pirated dlc? i assume not but that would answer it :)
i can see my licenses in license/addcont/
but maybe some games use dlc in a different way than normal

not all of it is. I bought the costumes from the psn store, but I had to pirate the gamestop exclusive content. I know dlc is normally stored in the addcont folder, but if u use it with mai, it goes in the dlc folder in the app/title id folder. I have it working with the mai dump in this way.
