Gaming Mario VS Rabbids Gold Edition silently announced

I didn't see any gaming news websites announce this game but found it available to pre-order while browsing the site linked below. It's pretty much the base game with a free download code for the season pass. I don't see the point of releasing a physical copy of a complete edition and then making the buyer download the DLC rather than including it on the actual cartridge. The cover art on the standard edition looks better too.

I would assume they had some physical copies left over that didn't sell and are bundling them with dlc passes to move them but I too don't like that .

if the dlc was included than yeah but releasing the same cartridge and adding a dlc code has zero incentive for users to get imo, i hate when company's released code only dlc on re releases, they might as well not do re releases imo.

except that you can get mario and rabbids orignal release much lower price on ebay or amazon and get the dlc normaly, even new amazon is selling it at 37$ right now, teh gold edition is on preorder for full price retail so explain to me where do you save any money? unless the season pass is 23+$

and if you buy it used then its a massive diference.

Ugh! I HATE this whole DLC code trend. When you're sharing game cards with your spouse it feels like someone is getting cheated out of the whole experience. I really hope all the content is on the game card.

The Gold Edition has been on the Nintendo Switch eShop for a few months. Why bother with a physical release of $79.99 when the digital version is usually on sale for $59.99?

As a person whom enjoys turn-based strategy games, this is actually a really solid game that introduces some new mechanics that I wasn't expecting to enjoy. Everything your characters can do, the enemy AI can do as well, and the enemy AI scales up rather well, especially on the later levels. The bosses at the end of each level do require a fair amount of planning, but not enough that it tests your patience. The most difficult levels are the bonus levels without competition, which I spent a couple of days on each level, taking me about a week to complete the four bonus levels included free. There are also a Co-op Mode and Versus Mode that are independent from the story mode, which is very fun when played against someone else and allows you to pit two of the heroes against two others.

Thanks. i must have glanced over that. I guess I'll be hunting for a used copy eventually. No point in buying the gold edition if I still need to buy the DLC twice.

yeah used copys go for cheap, right now amazon.com is selling it new for 37$ so used you could get it much cheaper
