Changing pace a bit. Do you think Pokemon in the Overworld with no invisible Pokemon will be the thing going forward? Guess Pokemon will be randomized every time you reenter an area. Wonder if there will be different behaviors. Like some Pokemon actually chasing you down or even running away.

what is 2 million games compared to 15 ? The mcdonalds analogy does not work because mcdonalds sells more becuase its cheaper than an high end burger by alot wich makes it much cheaper for a family to eat at mcdonalds vs going into an high end restaurant, the games sell at the same price, so if people really loved the series it would have sold much more.

So yeah what gamefreak is doing is working if they kept only the first 151 they would probably end up like persona and sell 2 millions at best on their greatest game becuase people were tyred of using the same pokemons over and over, srs 22years of using ratata pidgeys and such would kill any IP even if their story was amazing it would not matter because you can only play so much with the same 6 fire types, 5 bug types and so on over 22 years.

What do you guys care? Do you own Nintendo stock? I don't care if they make money or not, that's irrelevant to me, all I care about is whether the games are good or not. I have it on good authority that if Miyamoto would just spit on a piece of paper and sold that as Pokemon Nintendrones would still queue for it, that's the real "moot point". Recently the games haven't been particularly good, the way you make them good again is by working on areas where they are lacking, not the areas where they over-deliver.

what you consider good is subjective, i loved x,y and oras and i disliked sun and moon, for me if they make a game like x,y for me its a good fun game.

If the games werent considered generaly good people would not buy them...

X/Y was solid. After that it was a downward slope into mediocrity. It sounds like we agree on the quality issue, I don't know why you're being a contrarian here. People buy things that aren't any good all the time, that's what fandoms do. If that wasn't the case, Sonic wouldn't be a thing anymore.

using a pure normal type for an entire pokemon game without any notable moves will suck lol, atleast pikachu is usefull to defeat flying and water types.
The costumes will change it I guess. Maybe even tweak the move pool

I actually like sumo for trying to tell a story again One that is somewhat engaging and I hope they will continue with it, but with a better excursion again(the whole pokeschool section can die) . That's one thing I found sad to be not contiued after black and white.

The whole reason I skipped on Pokemon Go, was the fact that playing a video-game, to me, is about sitting on my butt relaxing and stuffing my face with popcorn and coke..

If I have to run a marathon just to catch a Pidgey, it's not worth it. I do that on my morning exercise. Don't need anymore.

I'll be completely skipping this. Sounds like a shameless way to tie in with Pokemon Go and increase micro-transaction sales.. without having to put in the same amount of development a real Pokemon game would require on the Switch.

i doubt they put microtransactions on the switch game that already costs 60$ to buy tbh.

No no, I meant drive costumers to play Pokemon Go as well, and by extension, drive more sales on the app.
You have it backwards.
GF/Nintendo's plan is to have GO players buy this game. LGPE is a casual game while the 2019 Pokemon game is the real one.

they want go costumers to buy the switch, but you probably will need to use go to get some exclusive pokemons only found on go or trade with the other version.

running away? maybe, running towards you i doubt it, since you cant battle wild pokemons and you can simply catch them or escape there is basicaly no interest on a pokemon charge you because you will never fail to run away since your pokemon isnt out so wild pokemon never attacks lol.

Literally the only difference between this and US/UM is GO catching for wild Pokemon. If that small change is enough to consider it a casual game, then Pokemon was a casual series all along. I doubt next year's game will have GO catching, but Let's Go is being considered a mainline game (Yellow remake) just as 2019's title is. I wouldn't be surprised to see Game Freak continue to try new things for 2019 Pokemon, either.

well pokemon also have CP wich is another go mechanic wich we dont know how they will work.

i'm betting pokemon wont get the movepools they have on mainline pokemon games or tms/hms

I bet every pokemon will only get 4 moves wich are learned by leveling so its more casual and every pokemon with only 4 sets of moves will make it much easier for GO fans, also there is no breeding or egg moves or anything.

So yeah mark my words here im probably right there was a reason why pikachu on lvl 18 only had 3 moves he was waiting to unlock its 4 move.

so imo simplified mechanics are gonna be
each pokemon only has 4 moves
no tms/hms
no battle wild pokemon
no breeding whatsoever.

It's a Pokemon Yellow remake, so gen1 movesets are pretty much a given and you're probably right about breeding but we'll see. There's no reason to believe TMs/HMs have been removed, there are simply far fewer to worry about in gen1.

None of this is making a case for it being more "casual," though. It's just making the case that it's staying truer to its roots as a remake.
