I know a lot of carts support SDHC, but I kinda wanna have an SD cart with the full no-intro set on it, which would take about 200GB. Is there a limit to the size these carts can take. I know just because they support SDHC doesn't mean they support all SD cards.

On another note, I'm using my old Acekard2i that I got long ago. Is this still a good cart? Does it have compatability issues? My main goal is to be able to pick a clean ROM with no modifications and play, with any sort of patching or changes done on the fly by the cart. What's the best cart for "drop on SD card" and play?

Thanks for any help.

sd cards above 32GB are SDXC not SDHC, if you got a SDHC card above 32gb, you got ripped off with a fake card.
anyway, my dstwo seems to work with my 64gb sandisc SDXC card just fine, as long as its formatted with fat32...
which tells me, probably most cards do support cards above 32GB, even the 3ds which only supports up to SDHC\32gb officially, seems to work fine with 256GB cards even tought the console gets slower...

You can format it to FAT32 and it should work with any SDHC compatible cart. I was running a 64GB on my Acekard 2i, but then downgraded to a 32GB because I really didn't need more than 32GB (hell I really don't even need 32GB, but I don't have anything smaller and I don't want to spend money on a smaller microSD card.)
You shouldn't have any issues with game compatibility with the ak2i. The akAIO team added an anti-AP bypass, which just as the name implies bypasses any APs and worked (to my knowledge) on all the DS games until the death of the DS.

32GB is the highest SDHC (by default) SD card, everything else 64GB+ is SDXC, however you can format these SDXC SD cards to fat32 with third party software. I used to use a 128GB in my SuperCard DSTWO+ but moved it to my Stargate 3DS in exFat format. I tested a 64GB in all of my other flashcarts except my original R4 as that is limited to 2GB (or 4GB FAT format, non-HC cards), they worked flawlessly with everything I have. 256GB should work in fat32. Now if you start climbing to 512GB (doesn't exist yet that I know of) then yea I doubt that will be able to be formatted to fat32.
