Such hate for TX. First of all, its not a 4$ part. Try making one and let us know how it goes.

Second of all, we not only pay for the hardware but also for the software.
iphone is 1000$ but it supports its ios for 5 years. A Chinese android phone doesnt care about any update.

So, TX is shit. What's so special about atmosphere? And why do you still want you use their TX OS if it gets pirated?

Now most of us don't have great soldering experience like you do to make a 4 dollar dongle out of spare parts.

For me thats the problem of TX... The full pack looks very high quality, their jig looks pretty nice, but the software is way too expensive...

I wanted just the software, but not for around 30€, 10€ should pay it enough... and Yeah the nice jig and device and the end cost only 10€ more than the software only which is what I find expensive and a bad solution as it requires the same exact steps as launching like atmosphere, we still need our own jig, a device to send the payload...

I think I will wait is for atmosphere unless I go crazy and buy the TX software which is unlikely to happen as I'm more hyped for atmosphere and TX solder solution (can't wait to see it, hope it bring some extra features).

The version of TX OS that's been 'tested' is being released fully DRM free on 4th June

The reason for the delay is to let Max finishing get to the point hes fully committed financially so he borks out big time like he did with the ps4 game swap chip

Life's tough Max but when you rip its how karma comes around

someone is butt hurt that people are making money, I'm more than happy to let people make money if they can, unless you live in some gypsy camp then money is required to live, I'm all for keeping people alive in return for them providing a service that people find useful for a price that people are happy with

and so what if the dongle does only cost them $4 to manufacture, seeing the attempts of people trying to make their own they are spending much more than $4 and the solutions require lots of messing about and it doesn't look as professional or functional

personally I'm not sure if I will buy the TX product, but I'm more than happy that they are actually stepping up and doing the work and imho good for them if they can make some money for their work, I hope they get a nice holiday out of it and it encourages them to keep up their work, lets be honest if it wasn't for TX stepping up to the mark the pace of free CFW's would be much slower, competition drives progress

SX os is just a payload
It's loaded into memory until you powers off the system.

I don't understand why someone would pre-order this when free alternatives are right around the corner, and one has no idea if they will release before or after the TX release date.

I can understand purchasing this after it has been released if it's before there's a free alternative, but it just seems silly to spend anything before that.

Because some prefer plug n play solutions instead of faffing about with installing and moving files about. Free solutions may not offer backup loading right away and TX does that, because lets face it, 99% want to pirate and are just kidding themselves with I want it for homebrew.

Yeah but could be not. No one else has shown a working prototype of what TX OS does. Most of us just dont want to wait. Like it or hate it, TX OS is affordable so why not take the pun?
