Well, they do have it.Okay, but I want to see recovery mode on a Shield first
Well, they do have it.Okay, but I want to see recovery mode on a Shield first
Yeah I know, but I want to see it activated on a Shield.Well, they do have it.
I like the idea that this failed console (Nvidia Shield) could get somewhat of a success after ~5 years thanks to Nintendos latest console and the OS beeing ported.
That's all I have to contribute here. I feel that was needed, sorry. Now please carry own with this thread normaly .
Uh, it is possible, and even if it wasn't, your reply is useless, because you give no reason, nor facts to back it up.Everyone asks this exact same question. The answer will always be the same: NO.
Horizon is closed source.
And do you really think you can make Horizon play nicely with the Shield Controller? Also Joycons are an integral part of most games, so even if it does happen, it sure won't work well.
Joycons are bluetooth, and Switch supports usb hid controllers if you didn't know. Even though it's closed source, doesn't mean we can't mess with it, 3ds shit is closed source, yet we have rom hacks, and several tools to mess with it's os.Horizon is closed source.

means you think it has the slight possibility, if anything.so even if it does happen
How will you pair them?running switch os, would give it joycon drivers dude. and just because its closed source dont mean much, look at all the work scires has put into reverse engineering it
Lmao are you trolling?running switch os, would give it joycon drivers dude. and just because its closed source dont mean much, look at all the work scires has put into reverse engineering it
Can you make Horizon run on a 16GB nand?Joycons are bluetooth, and Switch supports usb hid controllers if you didn't know. Even though it's closed source, doesn't mean we can't mess with it, 3ds shit is closed source, yet we have rom hacks, and several tools to mess with it's os.

Can you make Horizon run on a 16GB nand?
Or if you have the Pro can you make it run on a 500GB HDD? Besides, the Shield only has 3GB of ram, while the Switch has 4GB.
and this is coming from someone who has a troll face as his pfp.All of what you have said is just conjecture. You've offered no real facts by any experts in the scene or from your own experience. So you can't tell everyone the answer always has been and always will be "NO" when you yourself have no real evidence to go on. Besides, the discussion topic is "Is this possible" not, "Does JellyPerson think it would run well".
Those games rely on 4GB's of RAM.All of what you have said is just conjecture. You've offered no real facts by any experts in the scene or from your own experience. So you can't tell everyone the answer always has been and always will be "NO" when you yourself have no real evidence to go on.
Poor optimization *cough* *cough*Those games rely on 4GB's of RAM.
They may have the same SoC and the Shield might be over clocked, but if Horizon is ported to the Shield (it won't) those games won't run nearly as well as on the real Switch. Also, can I run the Wii's OS on a Power Mac G4? The specs of a Mac G4 are better, and they are the same architecture. This may be considered "conjecture" but hey, I can't run Super Mario Galaxy on my old Mac.
Poor optimization *cough* *cough*
Wii is older hardware, being emulated on "newer" hardware, so ofc it's going to be bad for the most part. Shield and Switch are using the same Soc's, even if slightly different, They are coded to work on Nvidia's soc's.
a Power mac G4, and A wii, are two different architectures, so you have to remember that emulating different arcs (PPC to x32/x64) is gonna take more power than alot of things. since Switch, and Sheild are same brand of chips, same Arc, it's going to be a smoother and faster transition, than your example.
newer arc, and environment, emulating older arc, and older environmentPower Mac G4s are PPC tho
--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------
And the chips were made by IBM
Don't bother, man. He's either trolling or just dumb as hell. Probably thinks a Pentium 2 and a i7 are the same too.newer arc, and environment, emulating older arc, and older environment
Calls me a troll yet his pfp is a troll faceDon't bother, man. He's either trolling or just dumb as hell. Probably thinks a Pentium 2 and a i7 are the same too.
Both of their Archs are PPC, and the G4 is a more powerful machinenewer arc, and environment, emulating older arc, and older environment
No shit lol, I think about everyone knows this. With a Shield there isn't anyway to slide the joycons into it, considering there's no rails. There isn't a cartridge slot either. Also, you will need some way to access the eShop, otherwise you will have to resort to pirating. Don't you know that much? Jesus
You don't realize, that just because it doesn't work in one instance, doesn't mean it doesn't work in all instances. Both of their Archs are PPC, and the G4 is a more powerful machine
It has more RAM, and its most powerful config was 2 G4s running at 1.42 GHz
