Hi, i finally managed to fix all (?) remaining bugs/crash for the fba 0.2.97.43 update and console prefix crap. I hope you'll enjoy :)
You can download it here : https://github.com/Cpasjuste/pfba/releases and here is the (basic) pFBA 1.55 changelog :
  • update to FBA 0.2.97.43
  • update/fix save states and nvram support (you NEED to delete old folders : "config" and "saves" to prevent crashes)
  • remove m68k cyclone asm core support
  • switch: disable single joycon support for now
  • fix console roms, no prefix needed anymore, roms need to be in their respective directories :
    • pfba/megadriv
    • pfba/gamegear
    • pfba/sms
    • pfba/coleco
    • pfba/msx
    • pfba/sg1000
    • pfba/pce
    • pfba/tg16
    • pfba/sgx

Steering bugs still remain on Super Hang-On. The Switch port of pFBA doesn't have these issues.

However .... I had a error (as below) running megadrive initially (I did delete files but not directory names, as per you install instructions, so I then uninstalled my old pFBA completely (ie. all pFBA directories and files). Then I reinstalled the new version and added 'megadriv' and 'pce' directories adding roms to both.
PCE games run fine but all Megadrive give an error immediately after loading "An error has occurred in .... (C2=12828-1)...Saved Core File succeeded ...etc)

Any ideas...?

These functions don‘t work on the latest Release.

there are games that the analog stick does not work, examples.
arkanoid, arkanoid 2, operation wolf.

cpasjuste please can you create more stand alone emulators? would love to see megadrive emulator, or master system?

I dont like the retroarch ui, and not like the idea to run psp emulator to run emulators. I like to use the standalone emulators like pfba, but I wish there was more out there for the vita...Will you ever make anymore standalone emulators?

The games of misceláneus boards in which you do not have access to dispswitches like Snowbros, Tumblepop, Rygar is configured in the maximum difficulty and you can not change what makes the vast majority unplayable, you could review it?

In pfba 1.55 the settings like bilinear filter and show fps if the active ones in the list of games does not apply for all and if you move something like frameskip inside any game it is saved for all.

Hi all,

When I launch a Coleco game, Carnival for example, I'm stuck on the blue screen where we choose the number of players and difficulty. On original Coleco, we have to press the number on the pad, regarding our choice. I tried several buttons and combinaisons of buttons on the Vita but nothing worked. I looked for the right buttons but couldn't find it.

If someone can help me, thanks :)
 
Please how to enter in "ingame cheat menu" of the Universal BIOS of neo geo? When I hold select and start, the screen menu of the emulator appears. Thanks

UniBIOS of 3.3 and below are supposed to be A+B+C+Start. UniBIOS 4.0 is Start+Select
But for some reason, the UniBIOS Commands bring up the Emulator Commands. Needs a Option where the User can set the Commands, so they do not conflict with the Games.
 
is there any way to disable the right analog stick? My right analog stick sometimes gets stuck and my character moves on its own...pretty frustrating when playing fighting games

and change the JOY_AXIS_RX and JOY_AXIS_RY values to something the system won't recognize (I'm using 254 and 255). You can do it straight from the Vita if you like... it's got a text editor. My right thumbstick has been broken for over a year now and it's the only way I can use this emulator... otherwise it just endlessly cycles through the menu.

thanks! Yea I read your problem in one of the earlier posts and was wondering if you figured out a solution. It seems to be working so far

EDIT:
It seems to have solved the problem but didn't disable my right analog stick. Just curious...what exactly does that do? Does it change the sensitivity or something because I'm still able to use the right analog stick but it's no longer moving on it's own

It should have disabled it. I think 254 and 255 don't point to anything in particular... they should be null inputs. Like I said, I have to do this to run FPBA; otherwise I get constant unwanted input. You might want to ask the developers if this is going to be a permanent fix for you.
