Okay, so I don't know how late I am, however... I need to merge a few codes with a MAc(Yes Ik... WTF do I have a Mac... Not My Choice) But if someone could help me, that would be nice...

I'm having a problem when merging the IPS. The Phyton script seems to generate a ips that makes the game hang on the nitnendo 3ds screen, and the .exe merge tool is always corrupted when i download it. I tried with other PCs and the problems seems to be on the ips merging. I've already merged sucessfully the walk speed x1.375 and instant message ips while using the 1.2 update using the .exe mergetool and it went smoothly, but windows tells me that the program was corrupted. And the new one weights ~2MB and the info on filetrip shows that the .exe is actually 4.9MB, i don't know what i'm doing wrong or if the .exe needs to be reuploaded. I'm running luma 9.0, b9s 1.3 and sysNAND 11.6.

Also, is there a chance that you have the patches for regular SM ver. 1.0? I need specifically the instant message one for doing the poké pelago glitch faster

check old thread for sm 1.2. remove 1.0 longtime ago.

it's super easy, you can try to make a patch yourself.

or you can grab sm v1.0 gw cheat and use it with nanquitas's ctrpf or modified version luma.

But how could i do that?i can't find a tutorial on wich bytes to modify.. And i prefer using your ips because this way i don't have to reboot the console everytime i need to do the glitch

r u sure u have script and ips patches in the same directory? And terminal is in that directory?

i didn't update the cmd line in tutorial, and you just blindly follow....
the script name is mergetool_ordered.txt now, not mergetool.txt.....

Hey OP, thanks for all the hard work. I've been trying to make the Python script work, but it seems to be producing a code.ips that leaves the games in the 3DS screen.

Maybe try Python 3? Let me know.

Made it work
It seems like some people were using Python 2 by default, which would lead towards that error. If you have both versions of Python installed, try this command:

python3 mergeTool_ordered.txt

@Ericjwg maybe edit the command so that it is python3 rather than python to avoid confusion? I know python works as well, but python3 always works. Cheers.
