Tested both of these ROMS, both are clean. Patch didn't work for any of them. I tested v1.4 and that didn't work either so I do not know what the hell is up with that lol.

Used three different xDelta patchers: xDeltaUI, xDeltaGUI, and DeltaPatcher (v2.0.1)

Here you go everyone, Pokemon Origin Platinum v1.51. A friend and I were on the hunt for this damn patch and he managed to get his hands on it. I did some tweaking with the patch though so it isn't restricted to one specific Pokemon Platinum ROM dump, so I made this compatible with TWO ROM dumps that most people have.

Improper Dump: (This was the base of the ROM hack though)

Cool, i already got it to work a long while ago. But its nice that its now more accessible to everyone, with a different Platinum ROM.

Updated the link for everyone, I added v1.4 to the patch download list. Before anyone asks, YES I modified the patch to work with both the proper and Xenophobia (bad) dumps. Enjoy!

I do not. I've pretty much gotten rid of all of my Pokemon hacking stuff. So even the project I started after Origin Platinum is pretty much gone. I have the rom I think. But not any of the files.

Ah alright, well at least we have v1.4 and v1.51 available now. The Xenophobia dumps are becoming hard to find and get these days so it was a good move to fix compatibility.

I think I used your latest 1.51 patch, but the game started freezing as soon as I got to Eterna City. When I turned off the AntiPiracy feature of my Acekard, the game started to work as normal. I guess the patch was interfering with what the card does. Thanks for your work.

The Acekard does not need the anti-piracy patches, cheats, or options to play Pokémon Platinum or any of the ROM hacks of Platinum. I don't even have AP fix cheats for Pokémon Platinum because the game is well compatibly for every flashcart already. You are also welcome.

If so, could anybody offer any insight as to how to get the Cheats to work in DraStic? I'm rather impatient and like building my teams at the start of the game to train, and though Platinum loads the cheats, Origin Platinum does not.

As for loading the cheats, I have never used Drastic before, I do not know all of its features and what not.

isn't it just a simple matter of changing the usercheat.dat ID for the game in question to the correct one?

this is what I did for soul silver to storm silver. Worked flawlessly to carry over the cheats.... some of the extensive ones like changing wifi background for battles did not work sadly... but it didn't matter.

the ones that work work well! I also threw in my own code to connect to pokemon classic network wifi for trades on AltWifi/wiimifi server and that works every time

That honestly depends on the dump, some cheats may not work for every dump, basically let's look at Pokemon HeartGold (USA) for example. There is at least three different dumps on the internet, one being the proper dump, the others being the bad dumps. Cheats made for this specific game will not work for every single dump available due to offset differences with the bad dumps versus the good dump. Cheats require an offset and a value in order to work, in some cases certain cheats also need a pointer leading to a new offset containing the changed value or altered code (more so for ASM cheat codes). With bad dumps, you are either missing some of the header information, the secure area could be destroyed, etc. Due to missing data, you might as well say the ROM is shifted, basically the offsets are not going to have the same data as the good dump would, thus making some of the cheats unusable. The only way to fix this issue is to tweak the cheats to fit with that specific dump. You can't just changed the ID and expect it to work. In some cases that may be true, but for games like Pokemon and what not, that isn't the case at all.

I think you guys should make a pokemon crystal hack which overhauls the Pokemon heart gold and soul silver game like crystal did to the original two with it being an idea I can't do I'd like a character to be named after me as some sort of gym leader with its signature a feraligator maybe the last one and all gyms to be redid with different characters inside them and a starter Pokemon stat and ability change. I think there should also be op stat changes for ho-oh and lugia they both should be obtainable at the same time. A good name for it should be Pokemon Feared Cystal.

Technically there already is a crystal hack, it may not be a proper overhaul of heartgold and soulsilver but it is pretty close, it's called Pokémon MindCrystal.

There's also a great fan game i played and finished called Liquid Crystal. Its pretty fantastic, i played so much of that on the GBA emulator for iOS.
