Every time I look for ds or 3ds rom hacks, I'm bombarded by nothing but Pokemon shit and translations. Is there maybe a list of non-pokemon projects? Also preferrably something more than a translation.

pokemon is easy cause everyone plays it and its very popular on the 3DS

there is MK7 CTGP 7- an NTR plugin for custom tracks, I find it very well done.

I may be working on a n64 sound starfox 64 3D if anyone cares... haven't had time to extract files and recompile.

everything else should be NTR plugin cheats. please understand 3DS is an era of RPGs JRPGS and pokemon flourishing.

I know about the smash mods, I haven't bothered. I have smash on the wii u, when I've got access to it and I'd rather mod that since there's so much more content. I'd really just like to see people shift their attention from Pokemon. I don't hate the series but the hacking scene is just so incredibly saturated with Pokemon rom hacks that none of it is interesting, I don't even get impressed anymore because I've seen it soooo many fucking times.

Well, there's Smash 4 mods.
was gonna suggest this. Some of the mods for it are SO cool! :)

Even if you did want a good Pokemon ROM hack, they're pretty much all made by the same guy, and have the same goal, to make the game into hard mode.

There aren't many 3DS ROM hacks in general, really.

I can't think of many games that would benefit from rom hacks, most of the Mario titles seem like obvious ones, and we have stuff for Mario Kart and Smash, there has been the odd attempt and New Super Mario and 3D Land but I don't think anything substantial so far.

Then you also see some progress happening with Fire Emblem but feel like only the odd few people actually knowing what they are doing and its more proof of concept stuff instead of huge hacks which is what I'm guessing your asking, since there are various rom hacks for titles.

Imagine the main reason there aren't too many is the fact we are now in "3D" and I'd guess working with 3D Models is a lesser known skill.

I stick to my main point though, I can't think of many 3DS titles I'd actually like to see any rom hacks for besides those I named.

Ouch, that stings a little man

Truth sucks sometimes.
Well, I mean, you are kind of undermining the amount of work that actually goes into rom hacking 3ds pokemon games, its not just a couple of button presses you know, I'm not saying that you're wrong about most of them being harmodes, but Dio puts a lot of time into those you know

Not saying it's not a lot of work, it definitely is. But it is a bit of a shame that there are so few complete ROM hacks out there.
