Hey could you please add a new feature where it can install all CIA's from SD card. That'd make it lots easier as I often lose my CIA's somehow in my SD card.
Aside from my usual smart as$ reply (It already DOES install CIAs from SD card. That's like the original purpose of it ), Why don't you just make a folder called CIA, so you don't "lose" them?

Are there certain features that don't work with the .3dsx version of FBI? For example i can never get the Remote Install function to work.

Guys, i need help. So, i installed a9lh in my o3ds months ago, and it was working just fine. Used a 32gb card. I had to stop playing, and when i started to play again the card just got corrupted, i can't even format it. I got a 16gb card. The 3ds still had Luma 3ds, God Mode and stuff, so it's still in CFW. I updated the console safely through luma through a tutorial. In system settings i can also see "Sys 11.6.0-39U".

Thing is, i can't install cias properly. I can barely install and make work virtual console games through it, like pokemon gold. I somehow managed to get freeshop too and update it, but when i installed Ultra Sun through it it didn't work.

In FBI the files don't show the install option, only delete-rename-copy-paste, and if i somehow work that out it gives the following errors when i try to install the game cias:

on animal crossing:

Failed to install CIA file. Result code: 0xD8E08025 Level: Permanent (27) Summary: Invalid Argument (7) Module: AM (32) Desc: Invalid NCCH (37)

On Pokemon Ultra Sun:

Failed to install CIA file. Result code: 0xD8E0806A Level: Permanent (27) Summary: Invalid argument (7) Module : AM (32) Desc: Cert signature or hash check failed (106)

FBI is also updated.

Please, help!

First of all, do you have b9s? You mentioned you had a9lh in the past, but do you have b9s now? The way you can tell os if your 3ds either uses boot.firm to boot up or arm9loaderhax.bin. Secondly, what do you mean when ultra sun "didn't work"? You need to be a bit more specific about that. Lastly, if a cia doesn't show an install option, it's corrupted, and you either had a bad download, or other was just a bad dump to begin with. Try installing a Homebrew app such as pksm or anemone to test and see if those work.

The first post mentions that FBI might have issues with Luma versions 8.0 or higher unless ARM9 patching is enabled.... however, I did a search for "ARM9" in this thread and literally nobody else posted about this other than the initial topic creator's post... is this actually an issue or have people here had no trouble running FBI as a .3dsx on Luma version 8.0 or higher without having to patch ARM9 access?

probably depends on what you're trying to do, and most people use the .3dsx immediately after installing b9s just to install the CIA version ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

FBI has been updated to 2.4.14
  • Add retry option to most operations.
  • Display TitleDB-provided version string in title info display.
  • Expand sorting options for titles and ext save data.
    • Titles can be sorted by title ID, name, or size.
    • Ext Save Data can be sorted by ID or name.
    • Disabling all sorting options leaves the items in the order they are provided by the 3DS OS.

a question I just installed the fbi but I installed a technician asked if you can still play online? and he told me yes but when I try to do it and the 3ds tells me that I need an update and when I went to investigate about it, some of them tell me yes and others that I need to check something and I wonder if it is possible or not?

Your question A) doesn't provide anywhere near enough info and B) has nothing whatsoever to do with FBI. Ask for help in a new thread.

Noob question: Does QR Code remote install take 2x space? Does QR Code remote install handle large CIA files?

Noob question: Does QR Code remote install take 2x space? Does QR Code remote install handle large CIA files?
Qr code installs only take up 1x the size of the CIA, since it doesn't need to be on the sd card beforehand. The file size is limitless, but there's a higher chance of the network stuttering and failing the bigger it is since it takes longer. I installed dragon quest VIII this way which is 3gb, so pretty much any CIA works.

EDIT: what's wrong with the gbatemp time lately? It says I posted that at 4am.

"Add support for installing 3DSX files to SD card via servefiles."

Can some please tell me how this works because I have a lot of 3dsx files and trying to enter them all into multiupdater is a pain.

I haven't tried it yet, but is it under the remote install option? It's probably installed via making a qr code out of a 3dsx download link.

If you download a CIA and then install it with WiFi disabled, then I assume FBI would be unable to download the required seed, correct?

In which case is there any way we can download the seed and combine it with the CIA, so that no online access is required and nothing needs to be downloaded from Ninty's servers? (Or perhaps we could have a 'seed database'?)

If the above isn't possible, since most CIA require the seed to be downloaded would it not be better to convert .3DS into CIA? Then we would have a fully working archive file for posterity.
