I had some send me file I had to rename it but don't know if i use tadpole
if you have the movable_part 1.sed you can't do the tadpole part since that requires the movable.sed. You can have someone bruteforce it (if your PC doesn't have that good of a GPU), or do it yourself (if you have a good GPU).

I had done so to begin with, which helped me realize I needed to actually patch the Dsiware to become Sudoku in order to access any type of Hax from my standpoint. the issue is that even after I patch it correctly according to your guide, it still has the audacity to come up with a corrupted save file, before deleting it. The only issue on my side rather than your guide is that when my SD card is inserted while the 3DS is on, the game still shows up as 5 in 1 solitaire, and becomes a fully functional Sudoku when opened, no errors or anything.

Hi again EathoGeno, which region 5 in 1 solitaire are you working with? Additionally, which region of sudokuhax injection files are you using?
I personally had trouble getting the EUR sudokuhax injection sav file to work from 3ds.guide and used the one Zoogie posted back on page 5.

Here is a pre-injected EUR sudoku public.sav that I made yesterday.
https://github.com/zoogie/TADpole/files/1692597/public.zip
You can rename it to public.sav.inject and it should just work with whatever compatible host dsiware game. (this doesn't work with 4swords iirc - that needs fat injection and it's tricky af)

The US one can be found in this archive
https://gbatemp.net/attachments/twltool-v1-6-zip.50740/

I'll get around to linking these from TADpole and also cleaning up the instructions for dsiware injection.

Going to be busy today with Super Bowl festivities, but I should get it done by late tonight.

I'm using USA region for both DSIware game and Injection. Though, I missed the archive file you posted about.
I'll use the rest of my time tonight to see if this works, and come back with an edit to this post to see if it worked.

Edit: This worked perfectly! Now i'm at B9Tool, and I've had more than enough experience from here to know what to do.
Huge shoutouts to Latiosu, I've noticed your contribution to this thread and on behalf of myself, I thank you for your helpfulness.

I had just followed your big guide; but ran into a problem. I've got all my files sorted out but I can't seem to copy the DSiWare back to my system. any ideas as to why?
Hi there drewb,
It could be due to the same issue that EathoGeno experienced earlier. Does using Zoogie's recommended .sav file resolve the copying issue for you?

probably should have stated that i tried this, but no; it didn't resolve my issue. it shows up on the sd card in data management as sudoku as 29 blocks, (assuming this is normal.)

i'm guessing it could be an issue with my ctcert but im also not sure thats the case considering i had no issues dumping and rebuilding

edit: my suspicions were correct

This is likely a ctcert issue.

Can you give me a hash of the ctcert.bin, if you found it online? (not the file itself).
edit: if you dumped it yourself, can you look at the file in a hex editor and tell me if "privkey goes here" is at the end of the text field?

Dumping and rebuilding your DSiWare export can function fine even when the ctcert.bin isn't prepared properly. It sounds like you've got the dumping/rebuilding process down-pat but my suspicion is with ctcert.bin being prepared improperly.

Are you certain that a custom firmware 3DS was used to dump ctcert.bin and that it was also verified by manually running ctcertifier.firm?

Here's the Files i bruted yesterday - I got time and a GPU at hand, so throw me all the files you have and I'll get some seeds going.

(Find me on the discord, easiest way to get me quickly)

Can I just say that I'm astounded by everyone's ingenuity in creating this project :O

I am currently extracting the LFCS from a mii qr that I created on my console. I am only using an Intel integrated HD4600, so not sure how long it will take, but I'm not in a rush! I'll then extract the movable.sed using my i7. My issue is that I have a JPN 2DS LL, so unfortunately I'm not going to be able to use Blackfall's Dsihax injection service , but I see that some kind people with CFW already installed are offering to inject the hax manually, but I'm wondering if I'll need to find someone originally with a Japanese region console, or will it just work with any region?

Noticed that the No Homebrew and no friends with homebrew method was added to the readme:

[C - No homebrew and no friends with homebrew]

Currently for dedicated GPUs only. Needs Pycryptodomex installed. (pip install pycryptodomex)
1) Find a mii in mii maker that was created on YOUR system. That's very important. Make one from scratch if you're not sure where it came from.
2) Export the mii to a QR code. They're found in the "sdmc:/DCIM/100NIN03/" and named something like "HNI_1234.JPG".
3) Upload it to https://3ds.goombi.fr/editMii/ then "Import from -> QR code"
4) "Export to -> encrypted .bin"
5) Take resulting input.bin, place it in the seedminer/ directory, and run:
python seedminer_launcher.py mii new|old [year of 3ds manufacture]
NOTE: If you have a new3ds, you *might* have to choose "mii old". If you sys-transferred from an old3ds, and have ever system
formatted, you will need to select old. Although an incorrect guess will cause the brute force to fail, you can try the other
option next time.
NOTE2: You can optionally select the year you guess the 3ds was manufactured. This is done in hopes of reducing the brute-force time.
If you have no clue, just don't enter a year. The brute force will then start in the midpoint of the possible LFCS range.
A wrong year guess will not fail the brute force.
(old3ds 2011-2017, new3ds 2014-2017 inclusive are accepted year options)
7) Wait until movable_part1.sed dumps then move on to brute forcing movable.sed.

How long does the bruteforcing here take? I've got an AMD 7950 pro at my disposal.

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.

@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.

Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
