So it didn't install boot9strap correctly. Do you have boot9strap.firm and firm.sha in the /boot9strap folder on your sd card?
it was my bad, i used boot9strap1-3devkit instead of the normal one, Ill continue as the guide says ,but i really apreciate how fast you answer!

Thanks for the quick reply! It seems like the links for the TWL FIRM on that website aren't working. I installed TWL off of the blog and the folder has 2 slot 1 launchers (.cia and .nds) do I just put one on the card and one on my ds?
You have to use a Torrent. The Guide recommends Deluge.
Don't try to do it from anywhere else—it's unsupported and also technically illegal.

I gotta start this post saying that i'm an idiot.

Guys I need your help. I wanted to install the CFW (and stuff) on a 3DS XL with the 11.6.0 firmware.
Of course I used the 3ds.guide

I did all the steps, so starting from my source 3ds I transferred the system on the target - i bought the sudoku game for the hack.
Just before the transfer everything was fine, I launched the sudoku and checked this step from the guide:
  • If your game has an error about boot.nds or a white screen, then the exploit has been successful
.
As I was transferring the system it never asked me to transfer any DSiware title - strange, i thought, but i kept going.

At the end of the transfer I had the target 3ds working but the sudoku game wasn't anywhere to be found. Damn.

And here it was the most brilliant thought ever: I formatted the target 3DS (thinking "well i will transfer it again") and then i noticed (firstly the 7 days wait) that the sudoku game wasn't in the source 3ds either considering in the transfer it did transfer the NNID too. Now i can't log in with my NNID in the source 3DS saying something like "you can't use this id on this console".

What should I do next?
I was thinking about transfering the target (and already formatted) 3DS to the source 3DS but that kinda seem dumb.

Thanks.

Did you backup the source nand as the guide told to do? If so just restore it on the source to get the game back.

I'm pretty sure I didn't skip any step. So I think I did (sorry, I made this mistake like a few months ago and of course I remember nothing).
So the backup should be in my 3DS' SD?

In the SD:/gm9/out folder. It should be something like this: 170912_SW11337799_sysnand_000.bin, or to be more precise, [datestamp]_[serial]_sysnand_###.bin

So i did it all again, i restored my backup and the sudoku is here.
Now the problem is that i can't make a system transfer: as i start doing that, on my source 3ds i get the error code 022-2501 (I can't use my id on this console).
What should I do now?

i believe you have to format the target system since the NNID is stuck on that system. You can't have one NNID on two systems for some reason.

The target 3ds is already formatted and asks me to login with my NNID.
As I'm understanding on the internet, Nintendo has a table of NNID connected to a specific device.

So I guess there are two ways of solving this problem
  • Transfer back from the target 3ds to the source 3ds I can't take this road considering the target 3ds does not have a CFW, right?
  • Call Nintendo and ask if they can link my NNID to my source 3ds - saying that i don't have the target 3ds anymore and i wanted it linked to the source.
Can someone confirm please?

Thanks again

Sorry guys, I already posted about this last week but I didn’t have much luck with any solutions, so I followed the guide to restore my flashcard, everything seemed to install just fine, however whenever I turn on my console with my R4 now all I get is a black screen, booting the console without it works fine, though plugging it after will freeze it.

My card is a R4 3DS B9S, I’ve used the R4i-SDHC B9S back up on the guide’s list and when installing I’ve selected the “R4 Family” option in the flash menu.

Any suggestions on what to do to fix it?

This happens sometimes if you flash an NTRBoot cart with a non-SPI-signed firm. Try flashing something to it, i.e. GM9, and then restore your backup.

I see, any guide that I could follow up for that?
Just do exactly that. Download the newest GM9, grab the NTRBoot firm and sha, put it in the ntrboot folder on your SD, then get ntrboot_flasher and flash it to the SD. Then get your backup.bin, place in in /ntrboot/ and Restore Flashrom Backup (or something along those lines).

Sorry mate, struggling a bit to understand that.

Could you maybe provide the links to download those files please?

Edited: I think all I need is the backup.bin for the original card software, but can't really find it.
