so my friend turned off her old 3DS while updating. Now it won't boot. I think it's still on A9LH and it's region changed as well. I have an NTRboot flash card. What to do? Is it possible to install B9S on that then do a CTRtransfer? :o

Do any lights turn on when trying to turn it on? Was she doing a system update or Luma update?

mb , it was a system update. I just confirmed it can still boot into godmode9 decrypt9WIP (2016/05/05) what to do next? can I just use the ctrtransfer from here https://3ds.hacks.guide/region-changing? then after that update to b9s?

If holding select while booting you get to Luma config right? What version of Luma does it show at the top?

Yes you can but when you are playing games that hasn´t been released yet you have a chance of your account getting banned
also using cias is a chance of banning too but thats not so high

also if you hacking online(like Mario Kart7 and ACNL) you can get banned
don´t know the %

Ok. It might not be booting just because the Luma version doesn't support the new system update. To solve it update Luma to 7.0.5 or just update to boot9strap following https://3ds.hacks.guide/a9lh-to-b9s.

I'm trying to salvage and old Monster Hunter Generations extdata. I have the SD backup and movable.sed from an old formatted 3ds. It's my understanding that this should be enough
3ds save tool is complaining about CMAC issues when using extdata, but regular save files are backed up fine.
I tried using fuse 3ds to mount and copy, but they seem to be in a different file format than what the save managers exist, 4 files from fuse vs 2 files w/ different names from the save managers (checkpoint and JKs)

Any thoughts?

People can report you, though if you're a 'fun' hacker (I.e. Doesn't cheat, just flies around spamming bombs and makes sure to give themselves last place) people probably won't. If your a FTW hacker, so you use your hacks to always win, that's when people will report you.

Yes. And even with Homebrew it's a small risk

I was trying to cheat in Mario Kart7 with the NTR Plugin
Was last place the whole team even tho i was in front of them
and when i spam blue shells they keep driving

There's one specific cheat in that plugin that causes you to always get last place. On the upside, it prevents you getting kicked for not driving/driving the wrong way(yes you will get kicked from the lobby). Also, unlike Mario Kart Wii, MK7 can only handle 2 blue shell at a time, so if you spam them, wherever the last one was, it will despawn.
