if you can find the correct place to post and ask for this on a forum, you're much better then most people to put homebrew on a 3ds

dont be scared just go to uh..what is https://3ds.guide/ and just try it nothing bad will happen lol

sorry if i put it in the wrong place didnt know where to put it

I think you did anyways. Well, nothing is going to happen to your 3DS if you at least try it, just read what it says. A monkey can do it. If you do seriously mess up, you can always restart the process, etc.

Is your 3ds on the latest firmware first of all? If you're on anything 11.4 or later, you need to buy a flashcart which can cost around $20 online. Luckily, gbatemp's sponsor nds-card.com sells these in abundance. You should be able to find a link on this page to buy one. Just make sure it's any one of these:

Wow that easy nice
Also, if you happen to have any other 3ds that has 11.3 or lower, you can use it to mod yours by doing a system transfer. I'd recommend the flashcart though, especially since if they aren't the same model (o3ds to n3ds) the n3ds will be wiped.

As many others here will say, the guide is extremely straightforward and meant for even the least tech savvy people. If you really struggle with it, i could always walk you through it on discord. Keep in mind i worked with a guy before who didn't know how to drag and drop files and it worked out fine.

Well the smartphone needs an SD card reader. Also, did you get the flashcart? A new exploit came out that doesn't need it.

Or a friend online with Homebrew access that has them added.

You can do a single-system DSiWare Injection via seedminer. It'll cost about $2, but you need a pretty good graphics card in your PC.
Or you get me to do it

That list is incomplete. For one it doesn't list the GW blue card or Ace3DS Plus (they are the same hardware)

You can do it with seedminer, no flashcart needed: https://gbatemp.net/threads/seedminer-single-system-dsiware-injection.495685/#post-7814607
It's a somewhat complicated way of getting CFW but it's the fastest/cheapest if you don't already have a ntrboot compatible DS flashcart. The guide there doesn't explain as well as 3ds.guide, but if there's any part you don't understand I'm sure someone will explain it to you.
As for ntrboot, this is a good cart that has ntrboot built in, from GBAtemp's official sponsor: https://www.nds-card.com/ProShow.asp?ProID=575

@The Real Jdbye, I thought about that and I have blank DVD's and Blurays but honestly after like 90 songs I just listen to it a couple of hundred times toss it out and burn something else or have like 2-3 CD's. Florida here the heat in the car tends to ruin the CD's after like a few months even commercial pressed ones don't last too long.
