Hacking How to remove padlock from installed pkg

I installed a variety of downloaded PKGs on my ps4 4.05.
I have all these games icons with a padlock on.
I run every payload possible but the lock is still there.

What should I do?

Do I need to decrypt the pkgs before installing them? If so, how?
There's a guide stickied up here but that seems to me it's to DUMP the game from a disc into a pkg.
It doesn't do anything about what to do with pkg files once you have them.

EDIT: THIS IS THE CORRECT ANSWER:
If you’ve ran HEN payload and are able to install PKGs from the debut menu, and they’re still locked and ask for license when you click on them.
You’re using genuine PKGs direct from Sony servers. They areny decrypted and require a paid for license.
The games that work are decrypted games that have been repackaged only. Anything from a Sony server doesn’t work, IE, themes, DLC and official direct links to games

I believed that you didnt jailbreak your PS4 4.05, did you ? Did you see the debug menu there ? If not, then you need to jailbreak your PS4 4.05 before oyu cans ee debug menu and to have installed pkg games but make sure pkg games are decrypted already.

If I didn't jailbreak the PS4 I wouldn't even be able to install these packages.
So, yes, I used all the payloads and entered the debug menu to install the pkg where it says "install games".

you cant download official sony pkg games and install them with debug menu! They have to be specially repacked and signed... Go to psxhax and you will find your answers

ok thanks, but still is there a way to tell if a pkg file is repacked for the debug menu or if it's not?

Go to the site where you get all the payloads from and found out about how to decrypted your encrpyted pkg files to install in the debug menu.

There is no way for you to know if your pkg files are decrypted. If it wont let you install the pkgs then they are not decrypted.

Because I was able to "install" them, so I guess they are decrypted already. I was not able to remove the lock on them after the install.

you can install encrypted pkg so there goes that idea. Only a decrypted pkg install with hen will not have the lock once hen is run.

The so called "PS4 Jailbreak/Hack/Exploit" publicly released for firmwares 1.76 and 4.05 are "temporary hacks" and NOT permanent which means everytime you reboot your console you wouldnt be able to play your games (dumps) installed with the "Package Installer" inside "Debug settings". You need to exploit your console every single time you turn on your console...... example, inject the "specter" payload and the padlock will be gone and you will be able to play your games (dumps) withut Bluray disc or choose IDC and inject the PS4 HEN payload = same result etc.

Ok thanks for the explaination, I'm guessing than that, no matter what I do now, the lock stays on because the pkg I installed must be encrypted (since I've never been able to remove the lock, no matter if I run ps4hen or not).
What others wrote (run spectre or hen and it will remove it) does not work. I guess they don't know what they are talking about, the matter is: ONLY DECRYPTED PKG WORK.

The lock itself isn't a valid indicator as it will still be there even after you run hen sometimes. The games should still launch though even with the lock after you run hen.

Exactly. I get that too. If you know it's a PKG that's decrypted(ala a disc rip), then just starting the game while under HEN should work.

No, it should not. I know the lock image itself is not the problem, but the problem is the fact that the pkg is locked.
Starting an encrypted pkg under hen makes no difference, it still tells you to go to playstation store to unlock it.

Sometimes it happens after injecting the payload but I can still start the game and when I close the game the padlock disappears.

1. If your game is installed with the legit bluray disc, it would not work in HEN mode without the bluray disc
2. If your game is installed from a dumped .pkg file generated with the "orbis_pub_gen.exe" the game should work in HEN mode without the bluray disc (padlock should be gone in HEN mode but sometimes its still there BUT the game should work/run in both cases).

I had the same issue, be sure to uninstall the packages, reboot, jailbreak with HEN payload, re-install, and it will work. Regular debug install wont wont even after launching HEN afterwards. You need HEN to install + run from my experience.

where is the best HEN payload? is it the specter payload?

Same problem, even after running spectre, vortes + hen and installing the games after, games still locked. any way to play that locked games?
