Hacking bootmii what prepare sd card do exaclty ?

Hi guys,

I juste make a backup of my Nand, but I didnt select the option "prepare sd card" what this option do exactly ? do I need it ? I didnt found a clear answer yet about it.

Hi,

I assume you are talking about the hackmii installer ? Prepare SD card copies the files bootmii needs onto the SD card "sd:\\bootmii\" .

If you are unsure just run the installer again...

it creates the config file and the actual bootmii program (armboot.bin) to be used if you have a vulnerable boot1 (to edit boot2 to launch bootmii from SD).
if you don't have bootmii@boot2, I think you don't need the SD files when launching bootmii from IOS. (the IOS254 is the arm program)

if you have bootmii@boot2, and select autoboot=hbc, be sure to install the HBC version provided by the same hackmii installer (or else the launched TitleID will be different).

Thanks I thought the same thing I cannot install it on boot2 by wii have a serial beginning with LU7... I assume the best strategy to prevent brick is to install priiloader ?

I wonder if there exist a device to flash Nand chip without soldering ?

Yes to Priiloader, I don't think so to the NAND programmer.
