Today i received a N3DS XL cradle so i can charge my N3DS because my charging port is damage.I opened the package plug it to the outlet and put my N3DS xl in the cradle on first it didnt charge the second attempt it charged. i go to my living room and put it nearby the tv so i can keep an eye on it. i plug the cradle into the outlet and when i put my N3DS Xl on the cradle it wont charge no more..

could it be the cradle it self?. or could it be the charger?
can anyone help me with this problem

Please tell me you got your AC adapter, cradle, and N3DSXL all from the local Philippines markets for whatever AC voltage and socket standard you guys used and not ones that was imported from Japan/USA.

Edit - A fully charged 3DS will no longer have the center orange led light up. Did you check if the 3DS turns on?

Yes 2 of them are bought here from my country but the cradle is kinda unknown for me i dont know if the sellers got it from foreign countries...

And Yes i did check it wasn't fully charged it was kinda of a blinking red...

I mean you can fix that for a quick 500php somewhere in GH or Raon or something.

Just checking if you might have hard bricked it by using an incompatible AC charger to what your normally country uses. The cradle should be universal for any 3DS in the world as something like that acts like a middleman extension between 3DS and AC charger.

Since your system does blink red meaning low battery but more importantly a working motherboard, you're going to want to use an external universal li-ion phone battery charger for the time being until you get that 3DS port fixed wither either a new replacement one or custom micro-USB hard mod.

i wont try to risk fixing it by myself i might broke some parts of it but i would likely try to let someone repair it for me.

i think you might be right on this i may have a incompatible charger for my N3DSXL..
should the charger fit in the charger port Tightly or Loosely?

And im sorry i wont buy that universal charger i will try to go back on the store i bought it from and try to make them repair it its still underwarranty.. better use it now.

Getting it repaired is a good idea, but you should really try and see if your cord is damaged as well.

I might check on that.. theres a possibility the charger itself is damaged.. i will buy a new charger next week if what i have is imcompatible or damaged.

If you and your friend have time then you can try his/her charger, the DSi and all 3DS models use the same charger so they will work with all models

Can a DSI charger connects well with a N3DSXL? If it is i would try to use it

Yeah, the DSi charger is the same thing, any charger that has WAP-002 on it will work (unless it’s a third party charger, but as long as it’s meant for the DSi or any 3DS model it will work)

What older version? The DSi, DSi XL, 3DS, 3DS XL, 2DS, New 3DS, New 3DS XL and New 2DS XL all use the same charger and it will work with any console I just mentioned. Any older charger (DS Lite, original DS/GBA SP) won’t work with the DSi or any 3DS model.

*Update*

I just recently bought a new usb cable and i put it on my cradle and my N3DSXL is charging now.

The problem was definitly the charger.
