I haven't been keeping up for a few weeks, but what is the 'knock knock' splash screen for? I've seen it on some of the newer videos for the Hakchi mod or a variant of the mod? When was it added, and does it have a purpose? If it does serve a purpose is it possible to make the splash screen custom, or 'hide' it so to speak with a invisible black 'splash screen'? If one was trying to keep the illusion of a Nintendo's interface rather than screaming 'mod' when loading the system.

It’s for the USB host mod, you can make an invisible black screen.

UPDATE 12-21-17

Today is a truly Magical Update! Thanks to Rhester72 & DanTheMan827, you can now use Custom Firmware Switching Magic! I put together a video showcasing this as well as two other nifty USB-HOST Relative Updates. These are USB-HOST dedicated Cores & converting NTFS & Fat32, etc., Flash & Hard Drives into a more suitable and reliable format for use with NESC/SNESC. You will need to use Hakchi 12-14-17, and can Update it by Flash Kernel, Rebuild Kernel, & Memboot! Many Cores Updated, per usual...including MAME 2003 (Build Fixes; Thanks clienthax & twinaphex!), MAME 2010 (Build Fixes: Thanks orbea & twinaphex!), FBA 2016 (Save State Fixes; Thanks barbudreadmon!), Eighty-One, Genesis Plus GX, Mednafen VB, Mednafen PCE-Fast, Mednafen SGFX, Mednafen NGP, SNES9X, RetroArch (Both Fceumm & Nestopia). I renamed both RetroArchs to keep them from being separate, and to notate which RetroArch Version they are on:) Enjoy Today's magical Update, and here is the video related to the 3 USB-HOST specific enhancements!

And, of course, the actual Update:) https://github.com/KMFDManic/NESC-SNESC-Modifications/releases/

thx, love the videos.

question about this post -> 'Hakchi 12-14-17' <- is this available to download anywhere pre-compiled ?

Woke up this morning to the update (thanks to all involved).

- Formatted my SD to Ex4 using PartitionGuru.
- Made my my hakchi folders
- Dropped the SD back inside the snesc.
- Opened up hatchi2 SD version.
- Added my rom.

Still adds the game to the internal memory and not the SD Card....... nuts :-(

That’s impossible, do you keep your SNES hooked on your computer when you add games to your SD card? Try just to write to your SD without a SNES attached to your PC.

Now that's impossible, you cannot write to the snes internally without conncting the snes to the PC. I don't wanna keep taking out the SD and adding games. I thought the whole idea of the SD mod was it acts like internal memory and I just add games the normal way.

Can you connect to the SNES via telnet and type "mount" to check if the as card is mounted over games. Also, more easy, hakchi does recognise the bigger free space?
And ext4 is so new... Maybe only ext3?

Ah ok, should have read better. Didn’t realize you have an internal SD mod.

Hatchi don't recogise the bigger space.

how big are the suspend points on the snes classic ? And how many games can you have if you want at least one suspend point per game ? Also, if you use the extra space mod which move save states to a 50mb section, will you be able to delete them with the save state manager ?

Then obviously it's not working.
Did you flash different uboot and whatnot?

Its is working kinda a if you look a few post back, if I create a folder on the microsd hatch/games and copy across a game, then put the sd in the snes it works. I wanna be able to add remove games from the sd using hatchi2 like the sd is the only internal memory.

Yes, I read that. Maybe do all the steps again as posted on Reddit? Hakchi2 should just see the extra space. Again my suggestion to format your card with ext3. Also, with Linux file systems you have users, groups and rights. Maybe that's where the error lies.
