yeah it depends on the revision, nintendont usb code chnaged alot of times.
Ah ok. I thought it's supposed to be not working on certain USB or HDD devices. If it doesn't work on later release, I may stick to older version.

If I remember correctly, the code was modified to ignore non-FAT32 partitions. I believe @GerbilSoft did that.
The Nintendont loader only supports mounting a single USB device at a time, so what I did was add a check for the MBR signature in the usbstorage enumeration code.

https://github.com/FIX94/Nintendont/commit/e46e7509345806f595927717a3c613801b9e20c1

That way, if it encounters a valid USB storage device that doesn't have a valid MBR signature (or UStealth signature), it skips it and continues checking for devices.

Man, I don't get it. Sometimes my injected games work, and sometimes they just don't load at all. I've gone through and made sure nintendon't is up to date, and it runs games through the vWii on my SD card, and sometimes it loads up properly and then at other times it just goes to a black screen no matter what game I load from an injection.

probably an error with your sd card or hdd if your games are not on nand, wich dont respond fast enough sometimes.

Yeah, it seems if I don't have auto boot to on it doesn't work, but if I do have auto boot on in my ninconfig that fixes it. Just for some reason it stops working sometimes until I go and turn it back on.

Hi everyone,

I have been injecting gamecube games on the wii u, but when I run them I noticed that the memory card is not being emulated.
As I have enabled the autoboot function on nintendont, I don't know how to access it to configure it again.
Is there anyone that can help me with that?

Thanks

Go into your vWii, run nintendont on there, hold B on a wii remote to disable autoboot, change your settings and then run a game from an SD card to save them?

Thanks for the answer, but I didn't install the vWii on my Wii U as I can inject the games on it. Do you know any other way?

Hi, i get error cannot open usb drive with 5.480 containing this fix.
I have a wiiu formatted usb drive in the top port at the back, and a ustealth fat32 in the bottom port containing the gamecube stuff.
I’m sorry can’t remember what is port 0 and which is port 1.
I’ll try to switch ports when i get a chance to retest but my understanding of the fix was it would cycle through ports until it found a valid (non wiiu) disk header sector info and mount that whichever port it was located or am I mistaken?

I used Wii U USB Helper to install a few Gamecube games on my Wii U. There was an option to force 4:3 but, not knowing which games may have supported 16:9 at the time, I didn't check that box.

I wish I had, because all my games are only 4:3, and now they look stretched on the Wii U. They playback perfectly, but they do look a little odd. Can I change my default settings for Nintendont even if I've just been using the forwarder to inject them into my Wii U menu. Is it easier just to delete those games from my Wii U and re-install them via Wii U USB Helper again, and this time checking the "force 4:3 box"?

Thanks.

you can disable froce wiiu widescreen on nintendont settings wich will make all games 4:3, or toogle force widescreen wich can make games real 16:9 it works for some it doesnt work for others its a matter of trying.

afaik vc injector script can creat nintendont configs so just use the program and make one with mcemu set to on...

Well, I reloaded my games with the "force 4:3" enabled in Wii U USB Helper and they still look the same to me. I mean there's black bars on the side, but they're still too slim. I don't really know what it's doing. It's not a pure 4:3 because the bars should actually be twice the size as they are.

I went into Nintendont to change the settings however I don't think it actually saves it into a permanent config. I wanted to disable force widescreen and Wii U Widescreen, but I can't really test it in Nintendont because I'm not loading my games from SD or USB (well not in the file system it's expecting to be able to read). Since I'm using VC injection/Nintendont Forwarder, how can I make sure to preserve 4:3?

you reloaded? you mean you reisntalled? you need to create a new ninconfig file resintalling wont make the settings to turn off.

Hey there,
I recently installed Nintendont but am having a few issues and was hoping that someone could help. Every time I go to start Nintendont the background will load up along with a message saying "Loading IOS58 Kernal..." and then it will just crash. I'm running the latest version of Nintendont on the Wii. The first time I tried loading it, a got a message telling me to update to 4.3, currently I'm running 4.2U. I feel like updating would probably fix any issues I'm having but I don't want to brick my console or mess with Homebrew so I'm not sure what the best thing to do is. I'm pretty new to all this so I wouldn't be surprised if I overlooked something. Again, any help is appreciated, thanks.
