Hacking Is this PS3 Slim hackable?

Today i want to buy a secondhand ps3 slim... i ve asked the seller...
he doesnt know in which firmware the ps3 was shipped to him... so dam

he only gave me the firmware that is on it it s 4.6 so yeah.

and he gave me the modellnumber :
Slim Model CECH-2504B.

is it hackable?
please help me

Well you won't know. Tell him to run it, but 2504b min version is 3.40, so yeah, you can hack it

i cant tell him to run that hack ^^ ... this is a guy who knows NOTHING about hacking and if he knew... he wouldnt sell it

so you think it will be hackable?

the seller tells me it is "new" no cracks or so on... dont know ^^

no games (but dont need any so f*** it )

Since the serial number is 2504B it's a bit of a toss-up if it will work or not if you can't hack it now you could wait until they release a Homebrew enabler which will be in 2018

If I were you, I wouldn't risk it with a 2504 model. I believe I have already seen a few posts over the past few days where people bricked their 2504 model, or found out it was just past the minimum firmware requirement. You should just pick up a 20xx, or 21xx model to be on the safe side. You can still find those on Ebay for $120 or less. Ebay has been flooded with 3XXX and 4XXX slims the past couple days. Get a 20XX or 21XX on the cheap while you still can.

and a slim with cech 2004b
2years old

for 135€ ~150$ ...
