thats good that it now works

In RetroArch options, make sure Settings Video has Video Synch Enabled, and Audio has Audio Synch Enabled. For the problematic Games, test with these 2 command lines...

/bin/fceumm OR /bin/nestopia You should have a good chance of getting normal speed, after doing these tweaks. Note, /bin/fceumm OR /bin/nestopia is with using the RetroArchs in my set. I did it this way, to ensure 7zip compression worked properly with both Fceumm, as well as Nestopia. Previously, on NESC, you could do --retroarch --fceumm and run 7zip. But, there was a slight conflict that wouldn't let you run compressed with --retroarch --core nestopia So, I did those alternate command lines, to sort things out:) Variety is good, as are back-up options:) I am a fan of the /bin/fceumm and /bin/nestopia It keeps things very precise:)

Still getting C3 C7 when trying to boot PSX and N64 games....
Genesis, NES, and Snes boot fine.

I have a couple questions since I have tried so many different ways of booting.

My nes/snes/genesis games are booting off USB using Var/games in desktop instead of /usr/share/games.

When inputing games to hakchi2, and ask to select file (bin) (cue) what do i select? CUE? and press OK or input as ARCHIVE?

I have tried /usr/share/games and var/games for PSX and n64 games and they dont work.
Do the PSX files have to be decompressed: Bin(s) and cue ? The file path should point to the Cue file?

Do N64 games need to zipped?

why you use a hex editor to view and edit the desktopfile?
why not notepad++?

Look. Don't import them as archive. Just use any file (eg. import a .nes game) to create the path. Then change the /bin/nes to /bin/psx or /bin/pcsx and the filename to the name of your psx .cue file.
In your folder delete the nes file and instead copy the .bin and .cue from your game.

And make sure you have auto-compression off at importing games.

Once a game is loaded, in Retroarch menu (start+select) goto Quick Menu then Options. and set Controller0 type to joystick. You can then map the buttons below from the SNES pad to various keyboard buttons if you wish. Whatever F9 is mapped to (either Y or R) will bring up the virtual keyboard in game. A button is normal fire button.

Hope that helps!

So tested out commando and a few others, mainly cartridge versions. But will get the ones with trainers soon. Haven´t looked into quickflip.
Just wanted to say - this fucking cheap usb OTG is so annoying with it´s short circuit power supply, works perfect in the nes but shifts around in the snes completely, anyway -

for C64 games I have tried USB-Keyboard and it works! :) Also tried a real joystick (usb Logitech Attack 3 PC Joystick - feels like good old quickshot II in expensive) and that works, too!!!

(the joystick needs not to be connected when the console starts, otherwise it won´t boot from usb-stick.)

edit: so .prg files work fine. it takes for ever to load a game. haha, love it.

@KMFDManic
One thing: When quitting retroarch out of vice, the whole console goes down and powers off, at least that´s how it appears to me,
That doesn´t happen when I close the content before quitting retroarch.

@Turnbl
Do you have any suggestion for a game or demo to test flipdisk? I don't want to play a whole day through something until I come to a point where I need to swap disks.
Also, there are many games available for floppy 1581. Then there is no need for several disk sides anymore. (Or one could load an easyflash version via file -> attach cartridge -> crt image - but I haven't tried that now).

I've been having some issues with the SNES mini - i've tried to add the Star Fox 2 rom and use retroarch to make it and all the games on the system full screen, but while testing them I seem to have crackling audio on both Star Fox and Star Fox 2... I've tried reinstalling modules and restoring the whole system to factory state but so far everything I try keeps giving me the same audio problems when playing the games using Retroarch.... Has anyone had the same issues or found a solution? Any help would be much appreciated as a full screen SNES experience would be great on all the games!

In preparation of getting the SNES classic for christmas, I'm trying to get all the info I can. I was watching a video about adding games to the SNES and it said that when you're adding games, a checksum error of some kind will come up. The video said to ignore it. I don't remember this with the NES classic.

Is it alright to ignore the error ? Does anyone know about this error ?

So I have made a step by step tutorial video on this new USB Storage advancement. I've done this a few times in a row now and I believe it is solid. The only thing I forget to mention is if you can help it, don't format your USB drive to NTFS. Hope it helps some of you!

Good video. You can also install controller reset as an hmod. It’s in kmfdmanic’s core set in advance users folder. Look for clovercon-usb hmod. Install in hakchi2 and memboot in hakchi1.

To those of you who're playing PSX games with USB-OTG method:

Do you use Eboot file (PSX for PSP -- you know, compressed file which you might find no GBM/sound effects/commentary/etc) or pure ISO file?

Previously with PCSX Rearmed, I could only use Eboot files since everyone recommended so.

I use the .bin file with no compression.

Does that mean the last remaining issues with the USB mod are fonts and "special" characters (like parenthesis) in title names?
pretty much. Lots of working going on behind the scenes to make the project even better

fonts are fixed. there are two font fixes you can install as hmods. one of them changes font to Comic Sans MS.
