just found an option under the Nintendont sd card menu to generate this config file ill try that and see if it fixes my issue.

You thought all this time I didnt try that ? Ofc I deleted the previous install before trying the next one, but still nothing
your probably reusing the same images and im guessing one of them is bad either corrupt or not correctly formated or the iso is bad in itself. it could also be the name it has that wierd & wich may not work remove the & and try? sometimes problems happen when stuff isnt supported like symbols.

Now I have a different problem where the program is not even opening. It crashed on one of my builds and then Windows Problem Reporting keeps not letting me open it.

I have a couple questions about this.

If I don't specify the gamepad banner image, does it just take the tv image and downscale it?

Is there a way to get the gamecube controller to work for Wii games that support it?

thx

I keep getting a .NET Framework error. The error is basicly saying the program can't find the path to something? Does somebody know how to fix this? I have a Framework higher than 4.6.2 installed and I have Framework enabled in Windows 10.

Hmm, managed to break it by opening it two times, closing the first one and then closing the second one gives me this:
unknown.png

Do you imagine it would ever be possible to use this to load WiiWare games that were installed to nand but moved to the SD card using the Wii data management screen? If that were possible more titles could be installed.

but everygame is working just fine, and the wup isn't downloaded, I used the wii vc injector. already tried numerous isos from internet and still doesn't work.

That's not possible, you can't launch games from SD card in wii mode, its only really to backup your games, it must otherwise be on nand to run (limitation of the Wii/vWii).

However, to add to that question, does anyone know if it is possible to take the WAD file of wiiware game, and install it as a self-contained VC title on WiiU ? similar to Wii VC injects. (or the possibility to patch them)?

yeah. when you open the game the tv banner will appear in your gamepad. if you have an adaptor to use the gc controller, the games that work with gc controller will function as well.

I got the same message, and after that I can't open the program anymore

Type %appdata% in File Explorer. Press 'AppData' on the File Explorer's directory bar and go into Local/Temp/WiiVCInjector and delete the SOURCETEMP folder. This should fix the issue like it did for me.

Is it ok to install game cube wups to the external hdd? I've read that gamepad control causes issues & maybe thats why I cant get any gamecube titles to launch? any suggestions?

How can i use Split wbfs with this?
It lets me choose the game but on the other tab the 2nd game disc icon is greyed out. Does it detects the wbf1 file automatically? Or do i join all to iso first?

Hello im having problem with the game wii play motion, it install normally but when i try to launch the game i get a error 160-4792

First of all thank you for the injector program, it's awesome. I have to stick to .NET framework 4.5.2 on my system but everything seems to be fully functional for building both Gamecube and Wii games, are there any issues I'm likely to encounter?

I'm currently building and installing my entire Gamecube and Wii (gamepad playable only) library. Personally I'm only interested in Wii off-tv gamepad playable games, I prefer using Dolphin otherwise.

Gamecube games are simple enough, all games work on the gamepad and we can check the Nintendont compatiblity list to force 4:3 on games that have widescreen hack issues (or games that we just prefer in 4:3) and default settings take care of everything else.

However for Wii games it would be useful if we could start updating the Wii inject compatibility list especially with recommended settings for gamepad play, at the moment it seems pretty barebones and out of date. I've got a lot of games to go through and I've had to test and rebuild the first few already with the Force Classic Controller patch due to issues, it's really time consuming so it would save a lot of people time if they had a good resource for this information. There's other good information that could be added too like a list of non-native Classic Controller support games and settings/cheats we can use to get them working well on the Gamepad (like DKCR), also notes for games that benefit from Swap L & R with ZL & ZR (Mario Kart Wii for example).

How do we get access to edit the wiki? This is the correct one I assume? https://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/WiiU_VC_Wii_inject_compatibility_list

A couple of findings so far:

A Boy and His Blob (EUR) - Gamepad play requires Force Classic Controller Connected or cannot progress into game.
Super Mario All-Stars (US) - Gamepad play requires Force Classic Controller Connected or controller seems to be detected as Wiimote and thus controls on gamepad are messed up.

With this program can i use the gamepad to play the gamecube games?

Yes, you can create installable Gamecube titles that can be played on the gamepad.

Yes you can install to your external usb drive. There are no controller issues with Gamecube games as far as I know apart from not having analogue triggers obviously.

Not sure what your issue is from the info you've provided. For Gamecube games you can pretty much go with default settings in the injector. Use full 1.35GB isos (rename extension to .gcm) rather than trimmed games as I've heard those can cause issues. You can use the 'Nintendont SD Card Menu to create a nincfg.bin (global Nintendont config file). I use the following settings: WiiU Widescreen, Memcard Emulation, Audo Video Width, Force Widescreen, Force Progressive, Unlock Read Speed, Memcard Blocks: 251, Video Mode: Auto. Once you've selected those settings choose your SD card (delete existing nincfg.bin on your SD root just in case) and choose to generate config file and check that your newly generated nincfg.bin is on the root of your SD.

The tab for the 2nd disc is only for Gamecube games. wbf1 files are detected automatically, just make sure they have the same filename and are in the same directory.

I mean play the gc game with the gamepad as a control
