So, I've come across lots of info on the internet and got a bit confused. My current SD card is not enough for me to download another game, so I will buy a bigger one. However, I have a digital copy of pokemon moon in my current SD card with 400 hours of gameplay save file. My doubt is: When I transfer the whole "nintendo 3ds" folder (pokemon moon is in it) to a new SD card, will my saved data from pokemon be lost forever and I'll have to start a new game???

The save data is in the Nintendo 3DS folder, so you won't lose it unless your SD becomes corrupted and you have no backups, or your console dies. If you're concerned about your save file you should export it with JKSM or Checkpoint and save it on your computer.

Thank you very much. I already back it up.
