ROM Hack Need Help Modding Pokemon Moon! Please Help!

Yeah they are always either one garc up or one down from the other game if they aren't in the same spot. Never really a big deal though since you can just check the garc size to make sure it's the right one.

I just spoke with Sleepy. He said he's at work and will upload the files in a few hours when he gets off.

I've never even extracted Pokemon XY so I have no idea Lol. I've only ever edited it with PK3DS. The first time I saw it for sure was in SuMo though. Granted I usually only hack one or the other, I don't extract both games. The only reason I know about the SuMo garcs like that are because of the 25 page discussion we had in here when it came out Lol.

Then when I edited my NPC models in Moon, I realized they were right because the models were in a separate garc than what was reported from Pokemon Sun on that thread.

Also, to touch on that I have been able to edit the textures of buildings, pokemon, clothes and battle NPCs. The only things I don't think we can edit yet are the overworld models for any of the characters, excluding pokemon.

No. You can't share the entire RomFS, it's copyrighted.

It's a bit of a grey area yes. You can share individual files, or garcs, or models etc. You can't share the entire RomFS because that's essentially the entire game which is a big no no. So to put it simply, you can share parts just not the whole thing.

If someone can build and play the game with ONLY what you sent them, it's illegal. If they can't, it's not; more or less.

That depends on how you share it, but yeah. If you only share the edited files, it fine. People have to get the game and dump it themselves to apply those edits. Otherwise you can release full games with your edits on warez sites; just not here.

Only the overworld ones, which is sort of useless without the battle ones.....at least IMO. I was working on converting them but I suck at predicting where the flat texture lines up on the 3D model. I was just going to resize them and use the same textures, but it looks terrible and some of them with graphics are mirrored; showing double Jirachi Lol.

It was nothing. They were just the trainer/NPC models/textures and the other thing was just Pokemon Sun compressed lol.

Are there other non-cheat mod like this for other games too? I thought it is all about cheat. Where do i start if i want to do some modding?
