I've dumped my snes kernel from 3 versions of hakchi (2.0.20.14, 2.0.20.15 and 2.0.21b) and they all have the same md5. I think people return to stock and flash on a newer version to avoid issues with updates/fixes. I haven't lost any of my saves updating. The dump folder stays the same (using the webinstaller), obviously if you use the standalone then you'll have to copy files over from your previous setup.

Yes, the only reason to redump your stock kernel is if it's your first time or if you lost your backup. It doesn't ever get modified or encrypted so there's no need to re-dump each time you upgrade.

Thx Cluster for quick fix! Do you recompile with the latest Commit?

That may be a while, he needs to find a new server host.

So just a simple re-flash stock kernel and custom flash is all we really need? I believe there's a fix in 2.21 now that stops the reflash error.

A persistent issue I've had with my NESC has been crashing, either when booting (rare), exiting a game, changing folders, or creating/accessing a save state. I'm talking about crashes that either reboot the system or a full crash that requires unplugging the system.

Have there been any recorded crashing issues?

How many games on screen you have? Are you using folders?

25-30 titles per menu, and I use folders. One root folder with 12 sub-folders, each with 25-30 games. And I leave about 50MB free.

Issue would occur when changing menus, exiting a game, saving a suspend point, highlighting a suspend point, navigating RetroArch menu, or just navigating a folder. I've noticed the issue since about 2.14 onward.

By using RA cores that disable creating suspend points, I've reduced most of the crashes, but I still get random crashes when changing menus.

I tried the mGBA module but gb games aren't booting. Do I need a special command line for it to work? Still trying to get SGB boarders in my GB games

Try changing the shortcut keys, syncing and then changing them back

Thanks Dax_Fame! That actually worked. Now my only problem is how to install those mods. Cant Drag & drop for some strange reason.

EDIT: and for even some more stranger reason now the mod works too :) So everything good here.

mmh "original games are not using extra memory space anymore, so we have some extra space for additional games"!
is it with that means the free space display?

""remove_thumbnails" mod no longer slows down SNES Mini's startup"
save that space or only not display it?

"Bundled with new mod "snes_custom_filters" which allows to disable scanlines in CRT mode or enable bilinear filter in 4:3 mode. Please read mod description before install."
can someone make pictures from these 3 modis?

"Bundled with new mod "extra_space". This is experimental mod for SNES Mini which moves your save-states data to unused partition of NAND flash. This partition is only 50MB in size but it will free some space for games because SNES Mini's save-states are huge. Please read mod description before install."
with that i wait for the first

I believe there's screenshots on his Twitter, let me see if I can find them.

where are the original games now installed?
before i found them on usr/share/games but now there are not there!

Just click Importeer als archief and you will be fine as long as you have RetroArch and a module/core to run Neo Geo Games installed.

Too bad... Metal Slug isn't running when game is installed as archive. Anyone else that is using Neo Geo roms? I am sure I aint the only one with this problem...
