Yes, i for sure i was able. I start with RC2-3-4-5 (during the last few days) and now when the Stable release came i add the retroarch and add the games new (only sync). Then i had the error when i start up the Console that i saw the folders for 1 sec or less and then the screen get grey or green. So i want to reset the whole console and do everything from scratch. I did flash Custom kernel and here i got my error with the Check-Sum and Wrong Size (abort) in the RC i never had this issue.

Wait, but if you got that wrong size, how did you get it to work? I'm not getting something here. Did you restore stock kernel then flash custom then got it working? So you're on 2.20 then.

In other words, if I go from RC to 2.20, flash normal, then custom, I'm screwed. That's what is sounds like.

I flashed the first Kernel on RC2, dumped mine and flashed the custom kernel, after i used only the Synchronize selected games with nes/SNES mini button.

There was no major problems or something, that was the reason why i did not uninstall it or something. So currently im on 2.20 Stable, just had this few errors and im not sure where its coming from and i cant flash the custom kernel, but i also dont want to use the uninstall feature (for the momemt).

As Far as I've seen, you have to return to stock Kernel first to make it work, but I can't speak from experience because I have not hacked my SNESC yet.

Ok so I switched to release version.

I still have the issue when adding Micro Machines and Micro Machines 2 (whichever is added last, is the only version Hakchi installs).

But it now also gives an error when I try and install Exertainment Mountain Bike Rally.

And lastly, for some reason some of the games are not in Alphabetical order anymore (arcade's greatest hits - The Atari collection, battletoads & double dragon, Al unser jr's road to the top, arcade's greatest hits, battle cars, battle grand prix, california games II, dirt racer, dirt trax fx, double dragon v, actraiser, actraiser2, axelay, bubsy II )
lol even the default 21 games are mixed up.

Super Mario Kart, Super Mario World, Earthbound, F-Zero, Mega Man X, StarFox, Star Fox2, Super Castlevania IV

how the hell do we use retroarch with this,is a tutorial to much ???????
a few pages back,i follow that,not working.

Doh, what an idiot I am sometimes.

I must have pressed select and changed the order by mistake.

Problem solved, back to correct alphabetical order now :D

yep, just sussed it out myself.

Thanks for the reply though :)

What version did you go from? RC3 to 2.20? So you used original kernel, then custom, then sync?
only 2.20 rc 5

i use the uninstall function what flash the custon then the original kernel.
then a factory reset on the snes and then i make a new kernel dump and install the costum kernel

always get c8 error,so flash my original kernel-then custom kernel-then retroarch and sne9x hmod in module.
after that i added my games, all snes and the games that don't work on original emu,i altered the desktop file.
connect to tv,put mini snes on and c8.

I'm still confused. You initially used RC2 to dump and flash right? But when you used 2.20 stable, you flashed regular then the custom after? I need to wait, then, since it sounds like it's broken :( Because I dumped and flashed with RC3, but now I'm afraid of restoring old kernel and using the new custom flash on 2.20

I have a problem with the official version 2.20, every time i use the folders to go back or change between games, snes mini reboot itself.

It happens every time i use pages/folders...any idea?

Last edited by Foxsix,
I believe I found "the problem" with power drain. It's a endles-loop script (remote-exec). After a telnet connection to SNES mini I checked the processes (ps) and that script was consuming a lot of time. I stopped it, and the consumption lowered to 2.4W!!!

So, I deleted (well, moved to other dir) the script that starts the "service" in /etc/init.d/S82remote-exec and voila. Much better now. It doesn't turn off now :)

I know the script is used to monitor the restarting flags and blah blah, but after I have all games I need syncronished, I don't care, and the "power-hungry endless-loop script" will remain out of mi SNES mini ;)
