It's not speculation. Super Mario Odyssey is title ID 0100000000010000, it's on the CDN, and it uses 3.0.1 crypto.
Saw that one coming a mile away. Sorry HB enthusiasts, can't wait to play later this month! :yayswitch:

Meh, not gonna wait around for something that may or may not happen on newer firmware.

I have no further comments regarding the Switch hacking situation. Whatever I'm going to say will either be on a blog (offsite or on here), or in a PM
???

Your tone implied that 3.0.0 wasn't the only firmware that was going to be exploitable, that there was a glimmer a hope for those on 3.0.1. Guess not. :(

Maybe they will figure out more stuff later down the line.

The 3DS was stuck on 9.2 for a while and people thought it would stay there but it didn't.
While not identical, this is a very similar situation right now.

Hopefully exploring 3.0.0 and below can allow them to find exploits on later firmwares that aren't patched, only time will tell.

The problem with that is that by the time new exploits are found, nintendo will push new firmware updates and people will continue to update their consoles due to new games releases. If i remember it well, the 10.3 arm11 exploit was released even before it was patched, thus allowing people to downgrade and it didnt matter because no new updates where pushed until a few weeks later. So, unless devs release their shit before they are patched, only a few will enjoy homebrew on their switch, unless they can afford a second hand one... (a non existent problem on the 3ds scene...).

Guys if you're on 3.0.0 or below just get a second switch like i did. I was going to update for Mario Odyssey but I want to have my cake and eat a second cake too

Nah. I won't. They will find a way to make this game playable on 3.0.0 or below or something. Just like PS3 does. :)

Guys if you are poor, just become rich like me. I was going to buy 1 ferrari, but I instead bought 2 so I can drive one in the mud and other one for the sunday rides to church.

LOL. Yeah right.

As fast stuff has been coming out for the scene, that's already pretty evident.
Well, I mean from other people other than those. I mean a shitload of homebrew apps. More than piracy. The PSP had so many homebrew applications. I remember their competitions. Genesis in 2011 and a few more. It was nice.

I'm not going to blow my own trumpet on this thread but I will anyway! I did say months ago that Mario Odyseey will come with the 3.01+ update, it was obvious to a blind man that Nintendo where hardly going to let Mario Odyseey come packed up for release any lower than FW3.01 threshold, knowing this will be a huge chance to put the hacking scene to bed for good! also we wont be seeing any more back ups from the Switch anymore I presume Pokken Tournament DX will be the last one we will see in the wild for along time to come yet, huge selection of 11 titles to use if piracy ever happens with the "penisswitch" hack..

Someone seems to really be angaist piracy... in a site that helps enabling it and encourages it with the community tools...

You know what, piracy helped the wii and ds to move million of consoles, i highly doubt the switch will ever be as popular as the ds or wii was.

Yeah I'm going to ask for a creditable source for that. Else it's just speculations.

Admiting it isnt 100% a fact, but it indeed helped at some degree rather than damaging it as the other thinks it could happen with the switch and piracy on it. I know fot sure nintendo moved a lot of ds and wii in my country thanks to piracy. Since it was posible a lot of people started buying new consoles and paying the store owners to install the homebrew channel and backups loaders or sell them flashcarts (we do not have official stores here, stuff is just imported)

If you're expecting Wii/DS piracy, or even 3DS, I'd say to stop expecting.

Never said that, nor i tried to say that on my post. I said that in response to the other guy thinking piracy could kill the switch, so i gave him examples of two consoles that whose games were pirated to death and they sold millions of hardware. In short words, piracy =/= console's death.
