It exit's the game correctly. but that verison locks up the game at different points, 4.560 worked fine as far as game play, but no exiting game
all I did in that file is move up the code block sending the signal to the kernel when to exit, it should have 0 effect on the actual game.

I don't know. with 4.560 i've played the game about 4 times and no issues. with an older verison and with the one from mega the game stops at different points and locks up with a loud noise. just tested 4.560 again and it locked up. maybe that game just sucks. or the sd card messes up. idk
edit. I made a VC injection with that same game and used dol (5.459) from the mega link and everything seems to be working

I've been reading a lot of processor documentation and didnt really get much more of an idea on what to do, the only thing that may need testing is this.

Anyone who has some freeze issue on exit may give this a go.
I haven't applied that .dol but all my games exit just fine, it's only during cutscenes that it hangs the Wii U. Maybe in cutscenes not all the buttons are enabled? Just guessing.

Is there a way to disable the autoboot after i set it i forgot to enable save emulation
Boot nintendont from vWii normally, and change the setting from there. You actually need start a game then exit in order to save the new setting, emucard in your case.

it wouldnt hang then but instead ignore them, anyways this sounds really weird, I wonder why it would do that. and when it hangs, pressing the power button still works?

Kinda off topic, but anyone know how to make/convert videos to be used as bootMovie.h264 ?
bootMovie.h264 is excluded from even downloading because the Wii VC titles don't even use it.

Edit: JK I lied to you, bootMovie.h264 is downloaded because generated titles crash without it, but it does not appear to be used.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

    but that's a long shot

i think only the red mario kart edition phat was v5
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
