Yay I was right to buy 2 Switch when it was released !
Now I need a game to update it from 1.0...

Ok, got it. How do i solve this?

*** No rule to make target '/mnt/d/Switch/devkitA64/base_rules'. Stop.
I think you should only try to use it only if you know what you are doing.

Nothing except that someone set the fundamentals for a Homebrew (unofficial) SDK
Well actually it serves fine, its not just a fundamental, just write your code that's it, console applications are not hard to do, If I had my Laptop here, I'd go and build a Hello World nro binary

For the people who continuously say "we won't see homebrew for two years", the evidence keeps pointing to it being more likely we will see homebrew sooner rather than later, and I stick to my estimate of 12 months or less

No one's really made this claim if they were paying attention or knew what they were talking about. This is a public release of something that's been in the hands of (most of) those most likely to produce functional homebrew already, its not really going to change SciresM's prognosis if you'll pardon a light appeal to authority. Leaks from lurkers already spread a lot of the info early on, it just wasn't in public access but as this thread of 'enthusiasts' can let you know, most aren't going to actually make use of it.

Its just about always been "probably not this year, almost certainly next". The place where "good luck waiting" has been applicable has been 3.0.1+ homebrew and piracy/dumping of any software that isn't compatible under 3.0.1 since their decryption has changed and the current access path is gone.

It may be possible to downgrade some parts of the system and not some other parts that are checked by the console, we still don't know anything really...

No. You need access to the boot sequence, at which point tricking fuse detection is pointless.

Plus, the Switch has eFuses, so no downgrading... It's gonna be interesting to see what comes of Switch homebrew, and if the system will ever get a hack as amazing as A9LH/B9S that Nintendo can't patch out.
SOLDER THAT CHIP IN HALF!!!

what? I needed a pee :P

Does this work with the latest fw? I heard that we shouldn't update but I still don't even have a Switch, just wondering.

It doesn't "work" with any firmware. This isn't to run homebrew, it's merely the libraries used to write and build homebrew. Even with this we would still need code execution and an entry point, which isn't currentely available (at least not publicly).
It will work on whatever firmrwares we have code execution on.
