Hacking R4 or TWLoader?

Do I wait for TWL further development or I buy one of these flashcards?

I'd get a card compatible with NTRboothax for brick protection (but you need to have a way to flash the card to switch functionality).

you should probably buy an R4, twloader is still in development and maybe it will never have the compatibility any ds flashcart have.

TWLoader is bad for homebrews, better get a R4 (unless you want to use older versions of TWLoader)

Personaly i use my old R4 with Wood Kernel via Apache Thunder's Stage 2 Launcher and it's fucking cool and works very well.

I got Boot9strap, Luma 8.1.1, 11.5.0-38 and HBL from the 3DS download play

I think one only needs to look at the compatibility list for twloader to buy a flashcard instead. I mean, I really hope it becomes fully compatible at some point.

There's nothing stopping you from using both of them.

Yes, get both. You can use the Flashcard to softmod your 3DS.

Obviously the newest ones are better, like linked above R4i Gold.

But from my experience i can say that even the old, ordinary R4 works pretty fine with Stage 2 Launcher. It will need some playing around with unofficial kernels and does not work with memory cards above 2GB, tho.
