This is the same price as a Sky3DS+ plus you get a DS flashcard and NTRboot added in for free. What's with all the hate? This is objectively better solution than a Sky3DS in terms of features for the same price.
No need to fuss with CFW just plug and play, I can see the appeal for people that don't want to fuss around with CFW/Luma/CIA whatever and just give it to their kids.
I think the people here are too accustomed to being cheapskates and jumping through hoops to get their free CFW/pirate fix... I guess this is more for the wealthier pirates

A Gateway update? That Gary seems not to tell the truth most of the times I've read something from him. But why?
If you look at my post I made with a link from Maxconsole, that's the reason. GW is just one coder and the rest are sales. The coder also doesn't have any internet and they're hunted by Ninjas.

Yeah, sounds to entertainting to be true.

If you're only interested in piracy and emulators, you can install b9s and freeshop in 5 minutes and call it a day, no need to "fuss around with CFW/Luma/CIA whatever". With the flashcart you would need to "fuss around in shady websites" to get your games.

Its gbatemp, what did you expect from edgy teenagers with no pocket money? "I can pirate everything for freeeeeeee, I don't need to buy flashcarts!!11"

Or for ppl who just want to play some games and actually have an income to pay a few $ for a quick and fast way to do that.

Also consider that sky3ds with private header is the only guaranteed way to avoid bans from nintendo.

Please enlighten us on how using a flashcart and having to find .3ds files on shady websites is better than using the Freeshop.
I have access to not shady websites with all scene releases. Also usenet if you have some money.
As for using - lol, you have to ask? Install times vs simply copying on fast microsd.

You still have to download it from websites that don't have the greatest server, and they still don't have literally every single release on the eshop like the freeshop does (minus a few brand new releases)

I'm designing my own entertainment cabinet for my man cave, to store all my systems, then I'm also designing a power supply/HDMI switcher so I can switch to whichever system I want, and power it also. Already picked up the cabinet board, but tinkering with my drawings before start
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
But yea, I have frogger arcade cabinet that I gutted and put a Pi4 then Pi5 into, but it never gets played much anymore, should sell it. Even when the kids come over, they don't want to play on it, just the xbox. TMNT and Simpson's arcade is still so fun on it, esp w 2 players.
