try xampp. place the exploit files in a folder inside xampp/htdocs. then, on the wii u, type your ip address followed by the folder name (ex. 192.168.1.100/wii u).

i first tried the public hosting sites and could never get it and it was slow when failing. so i configured to self host. i had much better results however it should be known that its still sort of buggy. i had to actively edit the exploit.html in the self hosted files after each fail. self hosting allows you to fail fast though, so i would recommend that way. either way make sure youre prepared to install hakchi as you wont want to go through this again.

And Jesus wept!!...

Maybe you can explain what was wrong with your setup or what was causing your problems to help others having same issues in future??
idk know what was wrong with my setup, i tried everything but nothing seemed to work, but gordreborn told me to use xampp and for some reason it worked. if anyone's having trouble try putting the exploit files and mongoose into a file inside of xampp named hdocs then load mongoose from there, that's how it worked for me.
Thanks to all the people on this board

To clarify - the folder should be named "htdocs".
EG: 'c:\xampp\htdocs\'

this literally makes no sense and there is no need to do this... clearly you were doing something VERY wrong or there is something unique with your setup.. given that no one else has had to do this and the steps posted previously seem to work for the vast majority/everyone....

Heyho,

planning to install haxchi with the guide here for my wii u 5.5.2 ( used browserhax til update ). Guess its this webhack you are talking about here
https://gbatemp.net/threads/guide-noob-guide-to-wii-u-hacking.451297/

Do i really have to format my sd card? kinda bothering to copy around all my wii u games format and put them back on!
no way around?

well yes, in the previous hack i had to put the games on the sd card. haxchi allows usb hard discs?
I assume you used Loadiine. Once you get Haxchi set up I recommend getting an external HDD or even just a USB and use WUP Installer GX2. That allows you to install to either NAND or USB, and the games will basically be as you installed them from the eShop popping up on your homemenu. Keep in mind, if you want to run VC games or use DLC for games you'll want to set up at the very least Mocha FW and launch it from the Homebrew menu i believe. There are quicker ways to boot with coldboot and using HaxchiFW i think but I just have Haxchi boot my homebrew elf and launch Mocha FW from there.

It makes no sense to have HaxChi launch Mocha. HaxChi has it's own CFW. Just change the setting to default=sysmenu in HaxChi config and reinstall HaxChi. Now when you tap HaxChi you're in CFW. If you have HaxChi you don't need Mocha
