Homebrew Region Unlocked 11.5.38

Hi, can anyone tell me how to unlock region on 2DS 11.5 ver?
Basically, all I want to do is playing game which I purchased from Japan and seems like there is no solution on 11.5 yet...

Yeah I checked it and it said "You MUST have already installed Luma3DS and boot9strap or arm9loaderhax to use this."

Unfortunately, mine is not installed CFW 2DS, so won't be able to do that.. Thanks for the tip though

I thought for sure there was a region-free game launcher in the homebrew starter kit. Is that no longer the case?

If it's still there you would only need access to the homebrew launcher to pull it off, no custom firmware.

It's a 2DS, I'm assuming that means o2DS, so he can't get homebrew without CFW as there are no payloads.

You'll have to install CFW, there are a few methods available and all are listed on 3ds.guide, but the easiest one for you will probably be to buy a DS flashcart preflashed with ntrboot.

When I only had homebrew opportunities on my 3ds I used Hans for imported games. Don't know if it still works, it's allmost 2 years ago when I stopped using it.

Buy a $10-$20 flashcart and install CFW on the 2DS using ntrboothax.

he'd need another 2ds/3ds on a lower firmware or he'd have to wait for the powersaves option and spend another 20/30$ on that totalling around 50 bucks

True, he would also need one of those two things. Still better than no CFW at all, though.
