You won't brick if you know what are you doing :)
And I beg to differ. I made sure I followed every instruction down to the tiniest fiber, then Fwtool hit "3048/3048 DO NOT POWER DOWN", and I figured I was good as it let me navigate the menu, so I hit exit and now I boot to a black screen lol Note: Never bricked a console, Have a XBox, PSP, PSVita, Wii and Wii U, all modded, without any issues ever

Are you sure that you didn't mess up anything though? I found a few sections worrying when I was downgrading and I almost bricked by renaming files that I shouldn't do anything with.

It's not a same. I downgraded many ps3, softmoded Wiis, Xbox's original, 3ds, psp, ps2 etc. Have only 2 bricks of all time (my foolish mistakes only.. Dont touch nand/nor if you dronk). The custom to dsi more hard to do (maybe to me only of course)....

What I mean is if you don't know how to hexedit nor use cmd scripts, you shouldn't attempt to downgrade nor install hax.

Lol hexediting and running anything, period, from cmd is easy if you know how to read and follow simple instructions. I'm thinking maybe I got the wrong common key and installed back titles? If possible.. if not that, then I possibly messed up my Console ID even though I'm sure I got the correct 32 digit hex numeral for that. I'm quite upset that this happened I also have modded about 15-20 3ds, 2ds, and n3ds in the last few months

I renamed my nand to nand_dsi.bin after re encrypting it, but that's the only renaming I did

Only because you learned from 3ds.guide.

True, but it really isn't that hard. Just a lot of moving files around.

i cant get to run my dsi nand backup, i have downloaded one form internet and it runs perfectly, but when i replace the DSi-1.mmc with mine nand backup it dont run, i have done the steps correctly 4 times and a last time without renaming the arvhives and keeping the original names (which is 000000007.app instead of 000000002.app i dontk know how many "0" are XD ) and i cant get it working, possibly that was your fault @Bryguy5849 do you tested your nand backup before reflashing? i cant get mine to work on NO$GBA

You don't download one from the internet :/ you use an exploit to run twtool (or fwtool can't remember) then backup your nand and cid from there. Follow the downgrade guide posted on gbatemp once you have those

FWTool is the homebrew you use on your DSi to backup your NAND, CID and/or console ID. TWLTool is the application you use on your computer to decrypt or encrypt your NAND and tickets with your CID and console ID.

thanks for the clarification. How do I check nand with no$gba?

Encrypt it with TWLTool if it's not encrypted yet, then rename it to "DSI-1.mmc" and move it to the NO$GBA directory. Run NO$GBA and make sure that the NAND works.
My original dump doesnt even work so thats probably the problem :(

i have noted all of my nand dumps with the FWTool (every nand backup made with a different memory card) doesnt work, no one work on NOSGBA, probably the issue is with the FWTool (i dont know if it is the problem but i think :v ) from the fork of Nuck-TH, i have tested the nand without encrypting nor decrypting and reencrypting it, an dalso it doesnt work, i dont know where is the problem :'v :'(
