I'm not sure if this has been already posted before but I recently started having some weird power issue with my New 3DS XL. I know I am really behind the times with mods as I am still using MenuHax with an 11.1.0-34U EmuNand. But my issue is is when I try to play a game on my N3DS, within seconds, my battery starts flashing red. If I try to close out the game, the power dies but with a blue light. Although, sometimes, like in games like the Shantae Virtual Console, if I hit the home button then return to game while the red light is flashing, it returns to (full power) blue only to go back to flashing red seconds later. Is this a battery issue, or could it be an CFW issue? BTW, it has never done this until very recently.

Try re-seating the battery to see if that fix it. If it doesnt, then you may need to replace your battery. IMO I do not think having cfw would affect battery life. Good luck.

- Found my old 3DS XL, battery was still in it. I took the battery out of that and tried it in my New 3DS, so far its working! Looks like I just needed a battery replacement, thank you!

I had this problem with a New3DSXL once. I fixed it by putting electrical tape around the battery in such a way that the battery contacts pressed harder against the 3ds contacts.
