I don't know. Do you have DSi Browser and/or Flipnote Studio on your new DSi? Because if you do, then you will be able to use the new exploit to downgrade to 1.4U.

I'm so pumped for dsibrowserhax/flipnotehax, rocketlauncher and hiyaCFW! I'll finally be able to play cave story on my dsi! (I know i can play it on any other console, but i really want to play it on a ds)

Not all DSi systems have Flipnote built in, so yeah. How about two standalone exploits for both?

not necessaraly, if you have an older regular dsi (not XL) you had to download them manualy

Don't worry, there will be an exploit coming soon for Flipnote Studio/DSi Browser that will allow you to downgrade to 1.4.

Is there any way to spoof the firmware? Can you access the DSi Shop from the CFW?

The DSi is EoL and the shop has been shut down. There's no reason to bother doing that. No DSiWare I know of does any version checks either.

But my DSi doesn't even have the Data Management option available because I have never even visited the DSi Shop. Also, it's not actually closed but all the apps and DSiWare have been taken down except for the 3DS Transfer Tool.

I'm still craving to become a betatester though, especially since I own a 1.4E DSi XL and about 95% of the testing was done with 1.4U DSi systems. I also want to test the exploit and the CFW because I'm really interested and I want to try it out.

And like they already said, the exploit was confirmed to exist in 1.4E.

I want the CFW as well but I feel as if the best course of action is to wait until it's ready.
