In the 3ds.guide article about DSiWare Save Injection, when you do the system transfer, it says not to erase the source 3ds's sd card, but when it had me agree to the system transfer, it did not prompt me if I wanted to erase the sd card, It just told me that's what would happen. So even if it says that, is it still safe to continue with the system transfer?

Choose the option that has you move the SD card over to the target console afterwards. That way nothing is deleted from the card.

Yes, the PC transfer option is basically telling system transfer that you want to use that SD card in the target console, which you should backup anyway before doing it. The crucial part is remembering to keep the DSiWare. Lol I've seen so many people forget to keep it and have to wait 7 days before trying again.

You wouldn't have to do this. You just restore the NAND backup of the source console, and move the DSiWare to SD card and move it to the system in the target.
