PS4 Games Now Available on PS Now

PS Now, Sony's game streaming service, was originally hosting PS3 games only. However, last month Sony announced the PS4 games will be coming to PS Now...and now they have! Sony have added 20 PS4 games to the PS Now service which are available to stream now. The game list is as follows:
  • Killzone Shadow Fall
  • God of War 3 Remastered
  • Saints Row IV: Re-Elected
  • WWE 2K16
  • Tropico 5
  • F1 2015
  • Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition
  • Evolve
  • MX vs ATV Supercross Encore
  • Resogun
  • Helldivers
  • Broken Age
  • Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition
  • Grim Fandango Remastered
  • Guilty Gear Xrd Sign
  • Castlestorm Definitive Edition
  • Exist Archive: The Other Side of the Sky
  • Arcania Complete Tale
  • Nidhogg
  • Super Mega Baseball

Now those without a PS4 (and a semi-decent internet connection :P) can start to enjoy some of the offerings of the PS4 without even having to own one! While the game list is a little...eh, Sony has mentioned that they have over 100 different publishers who are adding games to the PS Now service, so hopefully more PS4 exclusives become available for those to play.

Along with this news, Sony is also bringing back the 1 year subscription price of $99.99, or the "intro month" price of $9.99 for just 1 month.

People give Sony shit for not having backwards compatability on the PS4, but hey at least they do have a method to play PS3 games on the system, its not like they're completely shunning the past. Though I do wonder why they don't add PS1 and PS2 (maybe even PSP and Vita) games to the PSNow service, would be a great way to draw people into paying for the service.
Well it's mostly ment to be used as a rental service.

I can understand not putting all the best stuff on this service at the beginning, but a good chunk of these games are already available on Steam too. Doesn't exactly tempt a PC gamer yet. I'll sub for at least two months when/if Bloodborne and Nioh show up on the list.

Charging people for a streaming service to play older titles is pretty underhanded. Still, it's better than nothing.
That's why you keep your ps3.You have the option to play them through a subscription service but you should only use it to demo the games or if you only plan to play it one time.

Kind of a shitty selection of games but to be fair, they're only starting so better to give them a chance at the very least. I for some reason was hoping to see Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy there already. :P

Still 2 expensive. Almost 20 euro a month here in Belgium with no 99 dollar deals like America sometimes has for a whole year. Dumb mistake of Sony of only offering 99 dollar a year in the states only. Def not paying 20 euro a month

If Sony's pricing is anything like Nintendo's then they'd charge 99€ (from $99). I don't see this as a good deal, it feels overpriced and far too much money for a library of games that's so lacking.

Sony needs to do Netflix prices or around it.

I'm a little surprised it took them so long - building PS3 servers requires making superpowered PS3's in the form of blade server cards, basically PS3 farms, which are terribly overpriced due to the use of the now-deprecated CELL architecture. PS4 servers could be cobbled together with relatively PC-like parts, so the endeavour seems easier to achieve.
I prefer physical discs only thank you very much.
Good luck putting those discs into incompatible machines, or ones without a disc drive at all, like smartphones or tablets. The whole point of the service is to enjoy PlayStation games on non-PlayStation devices, so the medium here is irrelevant.

I used it for a month playing some ps3 games and I there wasn't any noticeable lag, i forgot I was streaming it most of the time. I might re-subscribe for a bit as there are some games on the list that I never got round to playing and its much easier than re setting up my ps3 and buying the games.

Either way this is great news for people who don't have access to Ps3/Ps4 as you can use it on PC :)

Just think of Netflix over Blu-rays or DVDs. Most people in general are happy just watching a film/show streamed on TV or through the internet without a BD/DVD for an absolute high quality necessity.

I used to collect Blu-rays but gave up because the streaming services (and the other kind) are just so much more convenient overall for me.

Keep in mind that PS Now has 500+ PS3/PS4 titles for you to play, it'd probably take a fairly large amount of money to beat the $99 a year price point if we're going that route.
The way I'd calculate it is weigh the cost of PS Now with the cost of the PS4+all the games that I WANT to play. But that's just me, I wouldn't consider the hundreds of games I'd never touch. Not saying it's a bad value either way though.

That's true. And that is a LOT of games. PS Now is really enticing, if only I had the money for it right now xD
I already have the recommended internet speed, just need to buy PS Now.
