Yeah, there's nothing bad about it. It's lighter than an N3DSXL and if you don't use the 3D anyway then you might as well save some money. The matte finish makes holding onto it easier. Downsides would be no special editions, not as pretty to look at, and no grip covers yet.

I haven't tried! But since it seems to be an N3DS in every way it matters, I don't see why it wouldn't work.

All the once I seen so far have been TN.

Well this might not be the best place, but what did you do to hack a 11.4? I understand that what you did requires two consoles, but I'm not as well informed as many here, and I tought that you can't do it on 11.4 right now. Also don't need to be specif, just point me out in the right direction since I already have an Old 3DS with Luma, and I'm considering buying a N2DS but I was waiting to know if I could run 9bs or not. Thanks

Man, I kinda want this thing now. But it comes out in the US a week after Splatoon 2 and its amiibo+pro controller.

Just follow 3ds.guide to hack the n2DS.

I would like a new 3ds and this is cheaper than a new 3ds and I don't care about the 3d but the 3ds is like dead next year so it seems like a waste of money.

Assuming you tried the release I just posted, then GSPLCD_GetVendors works on 2DS XL's as well as n3DS XL.
Sadly it seems most are indeed TN/TN, oh well.

Yep unfortunately both screens are TN but judging by the price tag it's just what i'd expect anyway.
