I think there are free adblocks for cell phones. Something with a 'T' and a green shield. Maybe you can use a proxy website that disables ads or an alternative browser?

Have you tried anonpass? It's a decent proxy for sites.

As for apps, I can't recommend any--the phone that has all my 'optimization apps' hasn't been turned on in months. It's also linked to my okcupid, so....no, not going to turn it on.

I install adaway as a necessity on ever android device I use. This one just can't be rooted.

I know there was a member that was bugging me about getting NSFW ads on GBAtemp and I told him how we handle ads. He later told me he "knew what was going on and wouldnt contact me again"

What? It is adsense, but adsense is crappy at times, still it is one of the greater adservices.

LOL, I got no ads on my laptop & I disabled adblock... Also it grabs it from history including those pesky pop ups.

If you have ad tracking disabled on google settings you will get random adverts that don't have anything to do with you your search history.
