if you downgrade to 6.20 you'll be able to install permanent patch there, which will autoboot into cfw everytime your turn on the psp
any firmware above that will require you to launch an app at launch called fastrecovery, that you need to start everytime you turn on the psp to launch cfw
if you want permanent patch on the latest fw (6.61) you need infinity
Downgrading, definitly its not the best option, i could go for CFW PRO, and that would be it... just an app that pretty much do all the job.. in 2 seconds..

here are your options:

install infinity on 6.61
install pro cfw on 6.61 without permanent patch
downgrade from 6.61 to 6.20 and install pro cfw with permanent patch

Hi how do I do that?

Connect your PSP to your PC and get into the USB mode (or something like that, I don't have my PSP anymore so)

and do this:

Here: Place this on the root of yoru memory card:
https://filetrip.net/psp-downloads/...load-custom-firmware-pro-6-61-1-0-f33612.html

And then install it first, each time you completly shutdown your PSP, just run fast recovery.

hello mate

this has worked a treat all running , however I had to put another card in as the last one seems to have got corrupt somehow?

thanks.

Have you tried formatting it?

Well it appears the memory card has corrupted as I tried another and that was fine, oh well at least I can order another.

Thanks to all who helped and what a great forum this is , good to be part of it.

Thanks
