I mean once a9lh is already installed
why would anyone have it
it IS less safe and less convenient since with it you can't just put the playload you want on sd
What are you going on about? B9S let's you use any .firm file you want, that works ofcourse, on your SD Card. It also can use the one in CTRNAND.

Did you even bother looking into b9s before spouting nonsense?
B9S loads a .firm from sd and ctrnand, exactly like a9lh with .bin

B9S is set more for noobs, sighax is more for power users/devs. Plus being able to put the .FIRM in Ctr Nand to boot sdless and have updated Luma I don't see the cons?

Plus looking to the future instead of the present b9s is obviously the better choice.

I don't agree with you. I think B9S should be the defecto standard of them all. Since the risks outweigh the benefits with Sighaxinstaller.

Wouldn't b9s be better anyway? Makes testing .firm easier. You would have to reinstall .firm every time without b9s, but with it you just place it on sd.

Warning: Since this is a beta, a "hardmod" (physical NAND access) is highly recommended!

People tried to install sighax and people reported bricks.

Is it safe to install b9s on consoles that have been downgraded via gateway then updated to 9.2 via cartridge? I know a9lh installs had issues with gateway downgraded consoles
Yes

yes, but this Sighax is installed only on the NAND and not using the dual setup as B9S uses. It's heck of a lot easier to develop with B9S since as TheCyberQuake said, you can test it on the SD without the need to burn it to your FIRM all the time.

That is NOT the software used in the guide. The guide has had 0 bricks from anyone thanks to rigorous testing and a bunch of safety checks.

I didn't mean BS9, are "sighax" and BS9 just different implementations then? I wasn't referring to your guide.

Sorry to ask yet another question, but should I do steps 16-22 in section 4 of the a9lh-to-b9s guide right now? They weren't there before.
