This post lies. Just updated to 11.4 and now Steelhax no longer works. video must be fake. Thanks troll. (I'm using N3DS)

Edit: after reviewing the video further, that's not even what the real steelhax menu looks like. FAKE
Well Mr I Call Bullshit i installed Steelhax using doodlebomb after the April 29th homebrew patch to fix apps
and i also used ctr bootmanager so i have shortcuts to shit i use
Also DONT automatically assume someone is a troll just because it doesn't work for you i can wake a 'video' explaining how i did it if that makes you happy

Just asking since I had seen mixed answers: Running newest stable luma, if I'm using injected vc games, and installed cia's only, is it safe to upgrade?

No, it's the most dumb thing you can do! Everything will burn! /s

Yes it's safe, that vc inject bug that happened once was patched like 2-3 hours later. It's Luma 7.1 you're running?

Whatever the latest says from the cia installed updater, so probably. If not it will be.

If you wanna make sure boot up holding "Select" But you should be fine. Luma3ds 7.0.5 even works fine with 11.4

You forgot to update the payload. You should always troubleshoot an issue before calling fake, and now there's no wa

You dont have to call bullshit. They had no idea to update the payload. Sure they shouldn't have been so rash and harsh but it's not like they're lying about it not working.

So if I have a new 3ds on firmware 11.4, can I use ninjahax to install luma now? I haven't hacked it before

Ugh, having a bit of an issue, I recently started using homebrew stuff and all, and as a terrible, terrible "noob" I didn't think to get any 2ndary access points up and running when I was using soundhax to get in, and, see also "noob," didn't think about it when the update hit. This has left me in a bit of an awkward situation where all things I seem to be able to find that I could reasonably access are, well, 2ndaries. And I have no primary to be able to install those 2ndaries, etc. etc.

Oh, and just to double down on my current doom, as it were, none of my friends/anyone I know/w/e mess with this sort of stuff so I'm working with just my singular Old 3DS and nothing else.

Anyone know something I don't/something I've overlooked that could get me back into my homebrew menu? Or am I just SoL until people have had more time to work with the most recent update/etc.?

i'm no expert but I believe the 3ds.guide is incomplete/not current. The answer is YES @Christodoulou83. see https://smealum.github.io/ninjhax2/

also i've read on here that another nand dump solution is in the works and should surface soonish as to not need any specific game/mod.
As @wurstpistole said, runing homebrew is the fisrt step.
After that, you need NAND access in some way (softmod with dsiwarehax or hardmod) and these two are the only methods available on 11.4, ninjhax alone does not give you these kind of privileges
tl;tr: only homebrew access =/= ability to install CFW

thanks for clearing that up, and well said Arubaro! @wurstpistole you could be a little more clear and less condescending. What does "it is not" mean? not complete? not incomplete?

I mean it as it says. It is neither not current nor incomplete. It is the most current and up to date guide you could ever use.

forgive my ignorance and thank you for clearing up my misunderstanding, sorry i gave bad advice, made a mistake. I trying to be helpful and give sources when i speak tho, unlike @Arubaro youve made statements without a good basis or logical argument so its hard to have good faith in them as a skeptic.

if 3ds.guide has been around a while and been updated frequently then say that to back up its validity. Personally I think they should at least mention that ninajhax exists for userland

Am i misguided in thinking a privilege escalation nand exploit for 11.4 is on the horizon?

Your response to me appears to have gotten cut off. Care to repeat? I still have access to Ninjhax anyway.

Can you use Doodlebomb as a Primary entry point? I'm still on 11.2 but im wanting to upgrade to 11.4 so i can access my Pokebank. However i can't get into the eshop to update anything or even download my digital copy of OoT3d. Any advice before i update?
