so does anyone have a list of all payloads working with sighax? also, Is there a payload that would play music?
GodMode9
Decrypt9
Hourglass9
All of these have been updated by the creator of these.

https://github.com/TuxSH/firmtool

firmtool can convert any a9lh bin file to firm so if you find a payload that isn't updated you can use this. There are no guarentees that this works 100% though.

EDIT: From what I know you cant play audio before the OS boots. Why not just use built in music browser. I'm also pretty sure there are homebrew options too.

If I'm understanding it correctly, the only way to unban a banned console from our end would be to somehow change the device's ID and create a new NNID with that. Right?

Would that be possible now? Of course it could be necessary to do some trial-and-error before finding an ID that doesn't conflict with some other console's ID out there...

Doubtful, I'm sure device ID are stored server side...

possible. also, I believe that nnid's are generated using certain rules, much like credit card numbers. It would be possible to find these rules if you collected enough ids to cross examine.

There are already ways to unban yourself? Lookup your specific error number and you can probably find a solution

If I restore a stock firmware Nand back up or a A9LH nand back up will it replace boot9strap with stock firmware/A9LH?

I'm just wondering if this could lead to something like having actual modified firmwares (potentially use a separate server that they reroute firmware updates to), which could allow more than a CFW could.

After following the guide I successfully managed to install boot9strap on my N3DS XL!
When I load fbi or any CIA installer, I noticed it takes a bit longer than usual to install a .cia file. Is it because of the fact that I chose auto for the allocation unit size? Or is it because of boot9strap?
Also ds games seem to take longer to boot for me.

boot9strap is definitely not going to affect the speed of installing CIAs in any way

So I updated from A9LH to Boot9Strap, but there are still a lot of files left over. I deleted the ones in the guide that I could but how can I know what else can or cannot be deleted?
As in I don't know which files before the transfer I still need to keep such as .bin files.

Those ways block the possibility of having an NNID - since the NNID is linked to an ID of a banned device, one can't use it and it has to be removed. And since the device's ID already has an NNID linked to it, one can't create another one for it. This is a minor inconvenience, perhaps, but it's there. That's why it would seem to me like somehow changing the device's ID could allow for the creation of a new NNID and thus complete unban.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.
