Homebrew After updating to Boot9Strap...

Hi guys. I'm confused. Can I erase the files9 folder in the root of my SD card after updating to Boot9Strap? Why? Also, what is aeskeydb.bin? Because that's the only thing I have in that folder I think.

I'm not sure, i was about to make a try and error test so i can look what can i delete, also the a9lh folder and so on i'd like to know what are we supposed to delete

you can delete everything in files9 and a9lh folders. I did it with three o3ds and they work fine

files9 are files relating to Decrpyt9/Hourglass9. If you don't intend to use those, you don't need the folder.

The only thing you need is boot.firm, and even that can just be moved to CTRNAND.

Luma's chainloader actually does work from CTRNAND if the payloads are also on CTRNAND.

I kind of like the idea of having the payloads and godmode in nand to clean up the card

Nah. I have a copy of them in CTRNAND but I don't see a good reason not to run them from SD card under normal circumstances.

Luma's chainloader actually does work from CTRNAND if the payloads are also on CTRNAND.

Copy Luma's boot.firm to CTRNAND and boot without an SD card to configure it. Use GodMode9 or FBI to create a payloads folder in /rw/luma in CTRNAND and copy .firm payloads to /rw/luma/payloads.

I followed @squall14716 advice and it works well for me from nand, a few less files and folder on the sd if your ocd like me

I'd no idea that i could move Godmode9 into NAND.
I'll be doing this soon.
